Cancer | Newt Scamander x Reader

The Fallen Soldier

     "Where are you going y/n?" A voice that could only belong to Newt asked you sternly with a cold voice.

     You stayed silent.

     Newt turnt you around, forcing you to face him.

     "Why do you always leave late at night?!" Newt screamed, after catching you red handed trying to leave the house unnoticed, his voice cracking and full of anger and...sadness.

     "I-I..." You could only look down to the floor, clenching your fist that was holding your case, avoiding his eyes, the eyes you loved so much, the eyes that you want to stare into for eternity, the eyes that you still can't figure out its colour.

     "I what?!!" You winced, this is the first time he ever shouted at you.

     "I can't tell you..." You replied sounding defeated. You felt his hands loosened around your shoulder.

     "Do you leave late at night to meet someone else?" Newt solemnly asked, with this your head snapped back up, looking at your partner with shock. "Are you cheating on me y/n?" Your eyes began to water, you didn't know what to say, you don't want to tell him the truth but this allegation is far from reality.

     You stretched your hand out to pull him closer to you, you whispered, "I would never, ever, cheat on you Newt. You're the best person to ever stepped into my life.  You're the only one I love."

     "Then why did you leave this late at night?" Newt mumbled dejectedly.

     "Because...." You paused, thinking of another way out, you thought about disapparating away but you decided against that, knowing that you won't be able to handle the dizziness. You sighed, "I--"

     A pain shot throught your skull and all energy left your leg, like a broken wall you crumbled to the floor.

     With his quick reflex, Newt managed to catch you in time just before you hit the floor. "Y/n?!" Newt worriedly calls out, by this time only ringing sound resonating in your brain, your ears canceling out any sound from the outside world.

     You screamed, and screamed and screamed. 

     Trying to fight back the pain you bit down your bottom lip, so hard it started to bled.  Newt who saw this happening started to panic, he noticed you were pulling your hair out so he held onto your arm, trying to stop you.  His heart has crumbled to pieces, he could only watch as you thrashing around in pain and agony whilst trying to pin you down, if he could take away the pain for you, he would do it in a heartbeat.  "Y/n! Love, can you hear me?" Newt asked with eyes full of tears.

     And suddenly it all came to a stop.

     You fell limp on the ground.

     No sound were heard from you anymore.  No scream, no movement, no breathing.

     Newt was petrified.

     "...y/n?"
