So the amazing TheRandomPenguin has brought to my attention article 13, and how it might actually happen in the EU. And we need to stop it.

The article is a really strict law of copyright. But it means memes, fan arts, covers, remixes, fan fiction, are pretty much going to be banned. And I am completely horrified.

Wattpad is what we use to express ourselves. Everyone can be themselves here, without any people judging. We can tell our stories, our fantasies, everything that makes us how we are through our stories. We can escape the world for a little while, drowning ourselves in stories and comments from other readers and authors. We don't deserve that to be taken away from us. We deserve to have a place where we can tell more stories about our favorite characters, our favorite movie, our favorite book or just our dreams. We deserve to have a place where we only have to worry about what will happen to our smol bean Peter, or to our Seaweed brain, or whoever it is you are obsessed with at the time, a place where we can cry and laugh along the stories, a place where you can make the things you want a reality.

Please, spread your word. Share this to anyone you know. Don't let this happen. Don't let them take this away from us.
