It was a glance here and there as it was on every train journey. They weren't in the same class but they were at the same school. Octavia would have spoken to the male but he was with his little brother so she just glanced his way every now and again. The few times Spyder caught her eye, it made the cutest smirk crawl on his lips, his heart fluttering slightly. If he wasn't looking after little Henry, then he would have spoken to her but as it was, the two had never said a word to each other.
Today was different, Henry was sick so Spyder was alone, there must have been a bug going around because the train was almost empty. So many students off sick that day, in that moment, Spyder and Octavia thought it were a blessing for them but the newspapers would read a different story.
Green eyes caught those crystal blue ones again, but this time he stared longer, willing her over. Octavia's hand moved to the arm of the chair, she felt oddly nervous as she stood herself up, pulling her back pack over her shoulder as she stepped closer. He moved up to allow her to sit and she did a light giggle on her lips but that giggle soon became a scream as the two were thrown against the side of the train. Wheels scraped against the tracks, windows shattered as every carriage was met with a cry for help. Cries that were slowly silenced.
The train crash had killed everyone so quickly the two had never spoken a word to each other. Such a short tale but that's the reality is it not? To come so close and to never have said anything only wishing you had after it was far too late...
