"Mason, the day you woke up from your coma, was the same day Amelia's brother passed away. It makes me wonder if his spirit was close to your body. I know this sounds crazy, but is it possible that you were busy dying that day and...."

"That's ridiculous Daisy, listen to yourself, its not possible for something like that to happen." I nod my head at him. "I agree Mason, but I noticed right from the start that you have some of his traits in you, even Amelia and Ward has noticed it."

"Is that the reason you were interested in me Daisy, because I reminded you of him, because you still in love with Amelia's brother. I am not him and I will never be him." I start shaking my head and felt close to tears. " No Mason, you got it all wrong, its not like..." Mason stood up suddenly and look down at me. "I'm sorry, I need to go," he says and I see him walk away. "Mason..," I called out after him, but he just kept walking.

I sat there on the sand, tears running down my face as I replay our conversation in my head. How can he think that he's only a rebound. I know they not the same person, why did I even blurt out some of the things I said to him. It has to be because of the date he told me about.

I was still sitting in the same position, when I notice the sun going down, so I started collecting my things and walk back to the house. As soon as I walked into my house, I put my things away and pick up my phone and dialled Amelia's number.

The moment I hear her voice, I start crying again, while trying to explain what happened between me and Mason. "I will be right over Daisy and you can tell me exactly what happened today," she says to me.

Half an hour later I hear Amelia's voice calling out to me. I was sitting on the couch when she walked in. After I told her everything about today, she said I should give him time and that I can't blame him for walking away as anyone would of done the same.

"You know what Amelia, he didn't even give me a chance to explain, so maybe its better if I just move on and forget that I have ever met him. I know it was stupid to ask him if it was possible for your brother's spirit to take over his body, geez, it even sounds stupid to me as well, now that I'm thinking about it, but he could at least waited before storming off like that."

Amelia takes my hands in hers. "Daisy, give him time to think about everything, I know he will come around as I've seen the way he looks at you."

I look down at my hands in Amelia's. "The thing is Amelia, I think I have fallen for Mason and now everything is ruined, because I couldn't shut my big mouth. What if he wants nothing to do with me now." Tears starts forming in my eyes and slips down my face. "Don't always be so negative Daisy, believe that you will have your happy ever after, your second chance of love."

Amelia left a while later, as she have a date with her fiance and his family. I relaxed in the bath for a while before I put my things ready for the morning. I wonder if I would hear from Mason again.

The week past without a word from him and I kept myself busy, trying not to think about him. On Friday, Ward, Melissa and Amelia walked into my shop, all of them very exited.

Amelia was the first one to tell me the reason behind their excitement. There is a new karaoke bar that opened and they wanna check it out, as there would be a drinking competition and there will be dance competitions as well. I look at my friends and think to myself. Why not, it will help pass the time and there will be lots of alcohol. "I'm in," I shout at them and they were clapping hands like little kids.

We all started talking at ones about tonight and how much fun it will be until I told them that I still have a shop to run and I will see them later. Luckily the bar is walking distance from my house, so I don't need to worry about driving. I can always get a lift home from one of me friends, that is if one of them is sober enough to drive back.

I laugh at my own thoughts as a few years back we sneaked out one night and went to a party. We got so drunk and tried sneaking back into the house. I climbed onto the windowsill as we left a window open before we left for the party. Amelia was standing behind me and I was laughing at something she said and fell into the house with a big thud and the next instance grandpa ran into the room with a baseball bat. Amelia who was still outside, was laughing so hard that the neighbours actually woke up and thought there was a psycho on the loose and called the cops.

Grandpa was so mad at us, but got us out of our situation with the cops, saying he forgot to give me the spare key to the house and we got a preach from the cops about underage drinking. Gosh those were fun days.
