Chapter 42

An hour later the same guy from before came to the cell door and opened it, motioning for us to follow him. We got to the front and Mason's dad was standing there, having a friendly conversation with one of the other officers.

Mister Moore smiles when he sees us and all three of us bow our heads in shame, which made him crack with laughter. "At least I can say my son would never get bored with you as his wife, " he says. The officer gave me my phone and keys and told us the only reason we were locked up, was because we were so drunk last night, that when a officer picked us up and asked for our address, we started singing 'Highway to hell', so he had no choice, but to bring us to the station to sleep it off, as its not safe for three young ladies to walk around town drunk.

We thanked the officer and followed a laughing mister Moore outside. We got to his car and on the way home, I looked at the time and freaked out. "Oh my word, I'm getting married in two hours, I'll never be ready on time, I'm gonna be late for my own wedding."

Mister Moore lays his hand over mine. "Calm down child, its not the end of the world. I will drop you guys at home to get ready and phone to let them know that we would be late, don't worry, I will find an excuse."

We walked into the house and all three of us went straight for a drink before getting ready. Three hours later Mister Moore knocked on the door and luckily we were all ready and were laughing over the things we did last night. Before we left for the church, Mason's dad took my hands in his and looked into my eyes with tears in his eyes.

"Daisy, you are absolutely beautiful, my son will be one lucky man to have you as his wife. My wife would of loved you so much. I wish you and Mason the best and I know you guys were meant for each other, faith wouldn't of had it any other way." I smiled up at him, my tears close and whisper, "thank you."

The moment we stopped at church, Ward came running to the car. "Thank goodness you guys are here, Mason is totally freaking out inside, even if he knew that you would be late." I smiled nervously and fiddled with my dress and Ward was watching me. "Don't think I buy the excuse for you being late that something was wrong with your dress. I want all the details later of what really happened."

He walks away to let them know that I have arrived and we follow slowly. Amelia and Andrew walked in first,followed by Ward and Melissa. The wedding song started and Mister Moore took my arm and asked if I was ready, so I nod at him and we start walking down the isle. I look around the church, then my eyes went to the front where Mason was waiting. My breath caught in my throat when our eyes met. I stop in my tracks and thought to myself, 'how did I get so lucky to have him in my life.'

I hear a loud gasp going through the church and in the next instance Mason came down the isle and picked me up in his arms and carried me to the front. "You not backing out now Daisy, you not running away from me" and he crash his lips to mine. He pulls away when we here the Father's voice. "You guys are doing it wrong, the kiss comes afterwards." I feel myself blush and everyone started laughing.

"I wasn't running away Mason and you didn't even give your dad the chance to walk me down the isle." We both looked at his dad who was still standing in the same spot, looking bewildered. "I'm sorry baby," he mumbles. He picks me up again and carried me back to his dad, to everyone's amusement. The music starts again and I hooked in with his dad and walks down the isle slowly. We got to the front and his dad gave me to him, telling him to take good care of me.

The Father started talking and looked at the people in church. "If anyone think that these two should not get married, speak now or forever hold your peace." Mason pulled me into his arms and gave everyone a death glare, waiting for someone to object. Just then Ward got up and all eyes was on him. "Don't mind me, just having a cramp in my leg," he says and people were laughing. Mason wasn't amused at all and gave Ward a death glare, before turning to the front. The ceremony continued and a short while later we were introduced as husband and wife and Mason took me into his arms and kissed me.
