Toothless
I rushed to greet Hiccup, knocking him over in my enthusiasm. "You came back!" He laughed. "Of course I did." Then I started licking him, provoking indignant yells. "Toothless! You know that doesn't wash out! " He rolled away, standing up to hug me. "I missed you too, bud." I stared him in the eyes, mock seriousness in my glare. "Hiccup, you are not allowed to bring home any more pets." Confusion ensued. "What do you mean?" I gestured towards the Vikings with my wing. "No pets. You have no idea where they've been. In all seriousness, who are they and why are they with you?"

"We ended up in the same cell. And in answer to the first question... They're from Berk."
"Hiccup!" I whisper-yelled. "What if they recognise you!" If they did, they'd drag him back to Berk. I'd never see my best friend again. "They won't. Calm down. But do we return them to Berk, knowing that the Berkians would probably try to kill us?"
"Sorry if I'm interrupting," the tall one at the back interrupted, "but we kinda need to get out of here. Is it the last one?" It took me a moment to realise that he was referring to me. "H-he's not an it." Hiccup responded. "His n-name is Toothless. And you're right, we need to go. But to get out of here, you guys will have to do something that will seem crazy."

"Ride dragons."

Astrid
"You're insane!" I exclaimed, my voice edged with panic. "The devils will kill us as soon as you're out of sight! They're barely under control as it is!" My statement earned me a glare from the Dragon Master. "T-they aren't devils! They are l-living, breathing, ...intelligent beings. And I d-don't control them."

"If they aren't devils, then why do they kill?" I yelled. "They killed my family, they killed Hiccup, they killed Valka! All they can do is hurt people!" The others watched in horror as the Dragon Master turned slowly to me. "Do you know why?" he questioned, his voice dangerously low. "B-because if they didn't, they died themselves. Their q-queen ate them if they f-failed to come back with prey. They don't raid you a-anymore because she's dead."

"H-how do you know that?" I asked shakily. "Because I killed her." was his quiet answer.
"If you t-truly know dragons, they're far b-better than most Vikings." he added casually, earning dumbfounded stares from the gang. "Toothless here," he gestured to the dragon beside him, "is my best f-friend. He's more family to me than the p-people who raised me. Vikings don't...appreciate? those who are different."

"You're a Viking?" I gasped, shocked. "I was." he whispered.

"Once."

A/N: I'm sorry, Toothlets. I'm sorry I made you wait so long for this chapter. I'm sorry it's so short and bad. I tried, I really did, but I have really bad writer's block right now. I promise the next one will be better.
