Karim took the kitten in his arms, and tried to find his way home.

It was difficult, as it was dark and well, he'd had run away from their house. Like as in he'd run further away from his house...

He walked back from where he'd had run to.

Karim's mind was full with questions. Questions that were better left unanswered. Questions that had to be answered. Questions that were weird ones- like What is this kitten's gender?

Yes, that question still roamed in Karim's head. He didn't know why. It was so strange. He laughed, causing the poor kitten to hiss and scratch Karim's arm.

"Damn you kitten. Why'd ya have to be so damn cute to make me forgive you?" Karim said to himself, whilst grimacing because of the throbbing pain that was left on his arm. He laughed-silently-so that again, the kitten doesn't get scared.

Karim didn't feel that creeped out. The street light's were on, so it made it easier to move around a lot. He thought he feared no one now- especially when he said Bismillah. He thought that no one could touch him. It was stupid to think that- as he was well away from what lied in front of him. Well away from noticing that You must fear the One that Created you Only using Clay and Water.

Karim didn't know half the facts.

The word fear was now at the back of his head, as he strolled, now past the alley. He picked up his pace as fear was slowly becoming visible, as of now his hands were slowly trembling. He had a gut feeling something didn't go right at home. He walked quickly. From afar, it could be seen as Karim was running. Sprinting, almost.

He felt he was being followed. He looked back every now and then. No one.

By now, he ran for it. He ran as if his life depended on it. Well- it did, because anytime now- he could die.

Looking back, he heard footsteps. They were far, but could be heard from where Karim was running. He heard a growl. That was enough to set his fear running to him.

Karim didn't look again. Instead he ran.

Home wasn't too far now. Just had two roads to turn. It was now when he'd realised how much he ran. Wow. He thought.

He turned the road, not bothering to glance what cars where passing by. He ran through the road- one car beeped It's horn- Karim jumped out of his pants. The driver looked Scary. Karim whimpered. The driver let Karim pass as soon as it saw the kitten in Karim's arms. It was a cute sight, and the Driver could see Karim panting, so he let Karim and the kitten cross. Karim put his hand up, as a signal to say Thank You. The Driver smiled, warmly.

Karim now walked slower, catching his breath with every step he made. He knew nobody would be behind him because this was The Main Road, and well no Murdering or Kidnapping happened- or any of that sort- So no one couldn't really do anything.

Karim tried to remember a word- A word which meant All Praise Be To Allah. Karim tried and tried to remember. It was as if Karim's mind was so distant. Into Far Far Far Away Land. Karim chuckled, remembering not to awake or scare the kitten that was now sleeping peacefully, It's heartbeat could be heard through Karim's ears. Karim thought this was soothing, and he'd remembered the word. Alhamdullilah!

Karim's house was near- not too far in fact. Just a couple of doors down.

And he was here!

Karim knocked on the door- hoping that his mother would open it. Karim knew what he did was wrong so he was prepared for the silent treatment that was going to happen. But nonetheless, Karim wanted to apologise. It seemed like 4 years he was out, when actually it was One night.

"Karim?" Karim looked up. It was Hakeem. He looked like he hadn't slept this night.

"Hakeem" Karim said sheepishly.

Hakeem sighed, before carrying on.

"She had a heart attack, Karim."

Hearing those words, Karim's eyes widened and his heart pounded- it was able to be heard from London to Kenya.

*Slight exaggeration I know. lol*

His breathing became uneven. His legs felt wobbly. His lips trembled. His whole body felt numb.

"H-heart A-at-tack?" Hekeem looked a man of mixed emotions. If Hakeem said yes, Karim would know who's fault would that be.

It'd be mine.
