Liam had taken him to the most stereotypical British shop he could find: a fish and chip shop. Niall had laughed when he saw the sign. Liam blushed.

"I know it's so horrible, but it's a classic! I come here whenever I get to go out. They've got the best fish and chips in all of London," he explained. Niall laughed and resisted his urge to pinch Liam's cheeks, instead settling on grabbing the hard muscle of his arm and kissing his shoulder.

Liam held the door open for him and Niall inhaled the greasy smell of the shop. He was too shy to order himself, so Liam kissed his nose and ordered a large bag of the delicacy to go. "You'll love it," Liam promised.

And Niall did love it. He moaned into the greasy fish as he bit into it. "I will never doubt you again, Ares," he grinned, biting off more. Liam laughed and pulled out a chip for himself.

They walked down the streets and finished the food. The only words spoken were from Liam, pointing out different things to Niall. "You're really cute," Liam commented after watching Niall's face light up as he showed him something else.

"You're really sexy." Niall trailed his hand down Liam's stomach, feeling his abs and smirking. Liam tried to stutter out a reply, but failed as Niall smacked his lips down on top of his own. without thinking, Liam kissed back and wrapped his arms around Niall's waist.

Niall's hands found themselves in Liam's hair, twisting and pulling at the short hair there. He left out a small, content moan as Liam shoved his tongue into his mouth.

"Oi!" Niall heard a familiar voice call. He pulled away from Liam's lips sadly and turned to see who had called out to him.

"Not you," he groaned, looking over Apollo. "I thought I told you to leave me alone?"

Liam leaned down to Niall's ear. "Who is that?"

He sighed, figuring it was probably about time he explained more to Liam. "This is Apollo. Apollo, this is Liam."

"I thought your name was Harry?" The boy beside apollo, whom Niall hadn't noticed, looked confused.

"It is," Harry insisted. "Apollo Harry. I prefer Harry, though. Niall, here, can't seem to get that through his head."

"Just leave us alone, would you, Harry? I've got things handled," Niall huffed and pulled Liam away, leaving Apollo and mystery boy behind.

-

"Explain?" Liam begged. He thought he had been confused before, but now it was even worse.

"Okay. This may be a bit confusing, so hold on tight. There's twelve major gods, right? And there are like, millions of minor gods. Apollo, the one you just met, is a major god. He's one of the few that actually acknowledge my existence, which is okay, I guess. But even since I was sent to find you, he's convinced that he needs to help me.

"I keep trying to explain that I don't need his help, but he doesn't listen. I don't need his help," Niall said, almost angrily.

"What am i? Who am I?'' Liam asked, still as confused as ever. Niall gave him a soft smile.

"You're an Olympian. A major god."

"And who are you?"

"A minor god. That's how I've gotten away with staying with you for so long. I'm in charge of love. As long as I exist, love exists. And I only like to play with my duties every few centuries or so. Otherwise, I just let it happen naturally. I don't like playing with people's feelings," Niall confessed. This time, Liam gave him a soft smile.

"So you aren't trying to make me fall in love with you?" Liam grinned, placing his hands around Niall's waist and grabbing at his bum.

"I don't like playing with people's feelings. But if you are falling in love with me, that's completely natural. Or, it's not me making you do it." Niall pulled at Liam's neck and connected their lips. They kissed for one long moment before Liam pulled away.

"Tell me about Olympus." They laid down on Niall's bed. Or rather, Liam laid and Niall sat on top of him.

"It's wonderful. It's always sunny and bright and beautiful. You've got your own palace there, you know. You have a palace and several temples."

"Do you have any?" Liam whispers, rubbing his hands up and down niall's sides. Niall rubs his hands down Liam's chest, once again feeling up his abs.

"I have one temple. My home isn't as grand as yours, but it's nice. Homey, I suppose. I'm treated better than most minor gods. Aphrodite is my mother, and she would throw a fit if I wasn't," Niall laughed, remembering how his mother always demanded that he be treated as well as an Olympian. "I'll be happy when you're able to come back."

"It sounds amazing," Liam gushed. He pulled Niall down so their chests were flush together and smirked at him. "But now, where were we?"

-

"Wow," Liam whispered, pulling Niall closer to him. Niall nodded and kissed Liam's lips one last time.

"That was good?" Niall asked, snuggling down into Liam's chest.

"Amazing," Liam corrected. "That was amazing. You were amazing. You are amazing. That was... wow."

Niall giggled a bit and lifted his head to look up at Liam. "You're... You're glowing, Li! This is great!"

"I am?" Liam looked down at his own skin to see that he was in fact glowing. Faintly, but he was glowing. "W-What does this mean?"

"It means you're close to moving home," Niall smiled. Liam too smiled, and then they both fell asleep.

-

"He's close." Zeus smiled, looking over at Aphrodite. "Your boy has done it. Ares is close to coming home."

"You are going to allow them to be together when they come back, right, Lord Zeus? It would be cruelty for the boys to fall in love and then not allow them to be together," Aphrodite pointed out. Zeus ran a hand down his face.

"I'm not a cruel ruler, Aphrodite. I may not like it, but I will not allow for the boys to fall in love and then not even be together."

"Just checking,'' she smiled. Aphrodite went back to her daily business.
