I tried keeping up with her. She was in my line of vision as we zipped zagged through the crowd. Just like that she was lost. Lost to the mob as my body hit the ground to find a stranger's body laying on top of mine. "I'm sorry but I need to get going." Shoving him off me but his heavy toned body was a grasp I couldn't get out of. "Can you please get up?!" I shouted at him wanting to punch him in the face. He gets up slowly. It felt like the longest 30 seconds of my life watching him move in slow motion. I quickly dashed out of that situation only to be pulled back by him grabbing onto my wrist. Looking back at him with fire in my eyes. "What the fuck are you doing?" A smile spreads across his face laughing at me. "What's so funny?! Let me go!"  Then it hit me the second I saw his tiger tattoo. Feeling embarrassed I ran into his arms pressing my head into his chest so he couldn't see how embarrassed I was. "I see you remember me now. How've you been toots?" I hugged him as the memories came flooding back.

Zahad, one of the guys I went to school with, who also lived close to me. We flirted for a while back in high school when I was still with Chad. He said he would wait for me. One day Chad and I were on a break I decided to give him a shot. We explored each other's body. As good as it felt I knew in my heart he wasn't who I was meant to be with. It was a mutual feeling. We continued to be friends coming to each other's rescue. Zahad has this aura about him that made you feel better. Looking at his exterior he's rough with his amazing body. Once you get to know him he's a giant teddy bear oozing with nothing but love and positivity when you're around him. The girls chase him all the time and he rejects them.

He was the first person who I told my secret to. Dating Chad was a front and he knew it. Zahad had a way with words that could get you to say anything if he wanted to know something. I told him the truth that day we had sex making myself completely vulnerable. Shortly after his family moved. It had been years. Seeing him again made me feel like I was the little girl I was back then except I was stronger. He has changed a lot since the last time I saw him.

I decided it was best to give Nala space while I talked to Zahad catching him up on everything that had happened. He told me about his adventures and who he was currently with. "She seems like a good fit for you." I gave him a warm smile. He winked at me telling me, "I still miss your company though." I grab his hand  pulling him out of the crowd. We sat on a bench talking then asking him to help me look for Nala. I described her the best I could. We walked through every inch of the fair even checking the bathrooms to see if she was there. We couldn't find her. Zahad was getting tired and we both had to wake up early the next day.

"Do you need me to walk you home?" He asked with those light brown eyes.  "If you didn't mind. It's dark and I don't want to walk by myself."  Without any complaints we walked to my place side by side. I saw Nala's bedroom door closed as we approached my room. I gave him one of my oversized shirts and sweatpants I had from when I was bigger. He showered coming back to my room with only a towel wrapped around him. I looked away pretending I didn't see anything.

He chuckled. "It's nothing you haven't seen before." I grinned part of me wanting to experience that moment we had again while part of me wanted him to be loyal to the girl he's with. "You're with someone now." He scoffed. "Yeah by force. My parents wanted me to marry her. If I didn't want to they couldn't do anything about it." That's another thing I liked about him. He takes what he wants. Something I've had trouble with. He could sense I was a bit uncomfortable and changed into the clothes I gave to him. He plopped himself on the bed laying beside me with his back facing me. "Good night." He said. I soon drifted into a deep sleep.
