Party

When August and I stepped foot into the house we were expecting everyone to either be asleep or getting ready for bed. Instead we came home to everyone sitting in the living room discussing something. August and I placed our bags onto a table in the dining room. Gen looks over at us, "You're just in time." I walk over feeling nervous. Everyone glancing over at us; some girls giving us strange looks. "In time for what?" Gen smiles deviously, "I'm glad you asked. We put everyone's name in a hat and your name came up. You're in charge of a party next month." Maybe that's why the other girls were giving me weird looks. Judging only my appearance you'd think I don't know how to throw a party. You wouldn't be completely wrong. "Why do we have to throw a party?" Gen giggles soon the other girls laugh. Their laughter echoing throughout the front portion of the house. I felt uncomfortable feeling that I was definitely out of the loop. Nala walks over to me gently holding onto my arm which made me feel better. "The boys in the frat made us an offer we couldn't refuse. I told them you were known for throwing parties and they didn't believe me. Next month you have to throw the party of the year or we have to clean up their house to host their next party." One of the girls looked over at me with begging eyes. "If only you saw what their house currently looks like you would do everything in your power to throw a great party." I didn't want to imagine what their house currently looks like. My body shivered a little as my mind started thinking of the nastiest things they might have at their house. Until I felt a tight squeeze on my other arm. I looked over to see August and the look on her face made it seem like she needed to tell me something. Once I looked over to her she instantly let go lightly running her fingers down my arm. Nala must have noticed because she instantly coughed a bit folding her arms in front of her. Gen continued on with her meeting discussing other events we're expected to show up for the rest of the semester. "I'll hang the schedule near the front door."  The girls disperse throughout the house getting ready for tomorrow. Nala angrily storms off out of the room. I follow her grabbing onto her arm, "Nala, are you ok?" She shakes her arm loosening my grip. "I'm not in the mood to talk right now. I'll just see you tomorrow ok?!" With that being the last thing she said she continues towards her room closing the door behind her. You could hear the sound of the lock turn. Feeling a little upset I didn't get to talk to her tonight I started to grab my bags from the table and head to my room. Maybe a hot shower will help. I undressed myself putting my clothes into a hamper and grabbed a towel wrapping it around me. I walked into the bathroom finding a few girls showering while some bathed in a bubble bath. That exercise in the beginning really brought us together. Two girls making it obvious that they were together. I was happy seeing them hold hands while the other half of me wanted to be able to do that with Nala. Am I afraid? Sort of. I talk a big game about not giving a shit about what other people think but I'm the one who's afraid of their judgement. 

"Soriya." I snapped out of my thoughts placing my towel on the counter. August was sitting in a tub with bubbles overflowing. "Do you want to come join me?" The last girl taking a shower left the bathroom. I closed the door giving us some privacy before making my way towards the tub. "Was there something you wanted to tell me during the meeting?" I was curious to know why she was pinching my arm. My cold body was instantly warmed by the cold water. August poured some water on her arms to keep her from getting cold. I did the same trying to get some bubbles onto me. "I... I was just nervous about this upcoming exam. I wanted to ask if you wanted to study together tonight. It's probably stupid." "The last quiz was tough. I was going to stay up late anyway if you're still up for it." She dunked her head into the water. "I definitely need a study buddy. I'm glad we're in the same class. You make the class seem easy." I couldn't help but laugh. It was far from the truth. "Maybe I'm just good at hiding it."  I got up from the tub heading to the shower. "Come meet me in my room?"  As I was wetting my hair I nodded. She released the plug draining the water from the tub. I took a quicker shower than normal so she could use it and we could get straight to studying. I rung out the water from my hair before wrapping a towel around myself dashing into my room. Dabbing myself dry with the towel then using it to towel dry my hair. Taking a peek inside my closet I decided to wear shorts and loose t shirt. It's a bit tighter than I remember. Making my way towards a mirror I noticed that my thighs have been getting bigger making me self conscious. I'll start working out tomorrow. I quickly grabbed my notebook and a pen heading over to August's room. Her door was closed so I decided to read through my notes before studying together. I wasn't sure how long she took but I was slowly falling. Starting to drift. My eyes feeling heavy and my mind wanting to focus on anything else besides school. "The door was unlocked this whole time." August said as she wore her night gown twisting the doorknob showing me into her room. Everything in her room was white except the curtains. It gave off a clean and modern vibe. "Maybe one day I'll have you decorate my room too. You have a good eye." She laughed, "Thanks. I would be more than happy to decorate your room." Flipping through our notebooks we decided to answer the review questions in our books before we quizzed each other. After about the fourth question I started to drift again. This time I couldn't open my eyes. My energy had been drained completely that I couldn't lift a finger. August was tired too. I could hear her getting up heading towards something. We sat at her desk and she laid a blanket on me making sure it wrapped my arms. The warmth from the blanket sent me straight into a dream.

My body feeling light and the temples of my head slightly throbbing. Thinking about nothing released the tension I was feeling throughout my body. I didn't care about anything I loved how my body was relaxing. Slowly my mind went into a deep sleep.

I was walking to class with Nala as we normally did. Everything seemed fine until we had an exam. The teacher passed it out. Unsure if it was a memory from the other week or a dream, I read each question carefully. It had to be a real exam. I could read every single word clearly. Looking around the room everyone seemed to be concentrating on their exam in front of them. Taking a few deep breaths to calm myself I went back in to finish it. Nala and I finished at the same time. We handed the teacher our exams then headed out in the hall. Her beautiful earthy greenish eyes lit up as I followed her out the room. She grabbed onto my hand leading me to another room in the school. The room was empty. Searching for other people they were walking by the room as if they didn't see us. "What are we doing?" She held her finger to her lips pursing them making a "shhh" statement. Her luscious lips looked soft I wanted to feel it. We sat down on a chair in the very back row of the classroom. She held my hand moving her thumb across my hand. Something about her calmed me down and made me not care about anything. I admired her gorgeous curly hair that complemented her face tucking a curly strand behind her ear. She blushed smiling at me. "You're beautiful." I told her as if she already knew I would say that. Nala pulled me closer to her whispering in my ear, "we should be together." Before I could respond I was facing her. Our lips caressing each others that made me feel as if I was free falling. I let out a small moan while she kissed me making me want more of her dangerous kisses. Her soft pillow like lips were gently planted on mine sucking lightly on my bottom lip. I didn't want her to stop. We both opened our eyes resting my head on hers. I studied the features on her face as she stared into my eyes. The eyes that begged, "are you afraid of being with me?" I kissed her again showing her that she meant the world to me. I didn't know how to but I knew I had done it. She gave me a trail of kisses from my lips to my ear whispering something I couldn't hear. "What?" I kept asking as she whispered something inaudible.

I felt a cold hand on my shoulder nudging me to wake up. When I opened my eyes the sun was shining through the window. And a very busy August getting ready. It was then I realized that I had slept through my alarm.
