Class

I woke up to the rays of the sun beaming into my closed eyes. I tossed and turned but couldn't go back to sleep. My alarm was going to ring soon anyway. I decided to get up and start getting ready to take on the day. Grabbing my towel and a toothbrush I proceeded to head to the bathroom. "Good morning." I smiled and greeted the other early birds. Not wanting to interrupt the other girls I decided to wait until later and see if I saw Nala on campus today. I finished brushing my teeth and headed back to my room to find Zahad still asleep. Setting my things down I changed into my clothes. Zahad whistles at me. "Nice ass." He said winking at me. Feeling a bit bothered this morning I decided to climb on top of him with nothing except my red laced panties. "I could get used to this." I leaned in close whispering in his ear teasing him. "Today is not your lucky day." I pull him out of bed as we head towards my closet. "Help me choose something to wear."  He grunted and his eyes scanned around while I wore a matching red laced bra. He handed me a cute beige hoodie and some jeans. I decided to ask him a few questions while I changed. "What are your plans for today?" His face kind of annoyed at me, "I thought I was going to fuck your brains out but that got cancelled." Rolling my eyes, "Today is my first day of class I can't be late." He sighs. "For real though what else did you plan on today?" I caught him staring at me as he bit his lip. "I'm going to take my girlfriend out. We're meeting up in Hawaii so I'm flying soon." Feeling happy for him I finished dressing myself and placed my arms around his neck pulling him into an embrace. "Have fun!" He hugged me back kissing me on my cheek, "Wish it could have been me and you though." He leaned forward his lips about to touch mine. My eyes quickly glanced at his lips then his beautiful eyes. Closing mine our lips touched. Maybe he wanted to know if there was a chance. My heart was pumping fast but I didn't feel any sparks or any magical moment. When the kiss ended we looked at each other without saying a word and knew that we weren't meant to be. We released our embrace heading out the closet and made our way downstairs. "It's still early. Do you want breakfast?" He nods as he goes through his phone. I quickly make some scrambled eggs on toast and we ate it on the way to my class. I got stares from almost everyone that walked by. They probably think he's your boyfriend. Thinking to myself. When we found my class I gave him one last hug before heading inside and he told me to text him.

I saw an empty seat next to Nala and decided to plop down beside her. "Hey, where were you last night?" She told me she would tell me later as class was about to begin. I began taking down notes but everyone knows how the first day of class goes. Going over the syllabus, fire escape plan, and where the emergency eye wash stations are. I couldn't help but zone out a bit until we got into groups for a project. "This is worth ten percent of your grade! It's due in a week." Nala and I were partners. We started to answer some of the questions until she decided to ask me, "Who was the guy from this morning?" I looked up at her then back at my paper explaining it was just a friend from high school. "Are you interested in him? He's good looking." She smiled at me. "No, he has a girlfriend. They're on their way to Hawaii as we speak. He may be good looking but it's not meant to be." I could see she was becoming less tense. Her shoulders relaxed and so was her grip on her pen. "Did you want to get lunch with me?" I asked her. She nodded her head and for the rest of class we continued to work on our project. Besides the first class of the day Nala and I didn't have any other classes together. Throughout the day I did see a few more girls from the sorority. After talking to one of the other girls I found out that August is also learning to become a sex therapist as well. It was exciting to find other people finding their way in the field since it's not everyone's first choice.

Lunch came around and I was starving. I realized the moment I got home I wouldn't have time for anything else except to study. Nala was excited  to see me as she walked closer in my direction. "Is there anything you're craving for specifically?" "No, I'm down for anything." She started walking in the direction of the salad bar. I grabbed a bottle of water, a burger, and a small snack for later. After paying we sat down outside on the grass. "You should choose something a bit healthier if you're in class all day." Nala said as she dug into her salad. "I should. Today isn't the day. Maybe later on this week when I go grocery shopping. Enough about me. I'm dying to know what happened to you." She started to look uneasy as if she didn't want to talk about it. "It's ok if you don't want to say much. I was worried because I couldn't find you. I thought you were home when I saw your bedroom door closed." She took a deep breath. "It's not that I didn't want to talk about it. Chad whispered something horrible to me. A secret I never told anybody before. I couldn't handle it and went straight home." Confused by what the secret could be. I asked her what it was about. "When the time is right I'll tell you." I nodded continuing to consume my food before heading to my next class. "I'll see you at home then?" She asked with eyebrows raised. "Sure." I responded.

The day went by rather quickly. Maybe it was because I was excited to read everything and learn the trade. August and I decided to meet up at the library to study together. An hour went by I was almost done with my assignments until a large muscular figure stood beside August and I. His large hands on the table staring at me. I looked to meet his gaze. "Can we talk in private?" I raised my brow glaring at Chad. "Whatever you have to say to me you can say it in front of my friend here." I continued writing down my answers. "I'm sorry." I didn't bother looking up and let him continue talking. "I shouldn't have cheated on you. I knew you weren't really into me and I guess that's why I went to someone else for affection." I felt a tear drip down my face. August noticed and told him, "Give her some space. When she's ready to talk to you then she'll come find you." He sighed, "Alright."  Then left. I wiped my tears. "Are you going to be ok? Do you want me to get you anything?" I looked up at August smiled and said, "I'll be ok. Thank you." We continued doing our homework until the library was about to close. As I was packing up my phone vibrated. Zahad texted me letting me know when he arrived in Hawaii. We walked home together talking about what our lives were like before coming to this college. She took her key out inserting it and turned the key to the right. The door slightly opened. From where we were standing I saw a drunk Nala laying on the couch with a bottle almost empty in her hand.

August shook her head telling me that I'm on my own since she was busy preparing for tomorrow's class. I closed the door behind me jogged to my room setting my belongings down before coming back to help Nala. Walking down the stairs I grabbed her a glass of water setting it on the table. I took the bottle she was holding pouring the rest down the drain and throwing it in the trash. I sit her up giving her some water. Her eyes opened slightly slowly waking up. "Lets go upstairs and get you into bed."  She nodded hanging onto my arm. We walked up the stairs slowly heading to her room. She plopped herself onto her bed and I went back to my room. I got myself ready for school tomorrow, setting my alarm, and continued to do some reading to get ahead in tomorrow's lecture.

A few hours went by my eyelids starting to feel heavy. Looking at the clock it was midnight. Lets call it a night. As I placed what I needed for tomorrow in my backpack. My phone vibrated. It was a call from Nala. I decided to decline the call and walk over to her room. She was in the middle of her room wearing nothing except a bra and panties with her phone in her hand. "What are you doing?" Drunk Nala said, "I was trying to get a shirt and shorts on." As she was swaying left and right walking closer to me. Before she could go any further I helped her back into bed then went to her closet for some clothes. I placed some clothes on her bed watching her pull the clothes over her body. Then she looked down, "There's something I need to tell you." "Ok. What is it?" Nala looks at me, "I really like you." "Awww I really like you too." She shakes her head. "Not like that. I mean I'm attracted to women." Not knowing what to say I hug her. "I was afraid to tell you before." I shushed her and told her, "There's nothing to be afraid of." She hugged me tighter. In a few moments she got into bed falling asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. I walked over to my room doing the same.
