Chapter 2

Lucas

Those three were still laughing.
"Oh come on Josh you hunkilish guy you , you gotta admit it was pretty funny." Said Maya.

Ouch. I don't know why that hurt. But Lucas the good was at one point something she said to me. So firstly I have to be okay with her not calling me by her annoying pet names I love. But now she gives one to Josh. Hunkilish?

"Yeah I guess you right gorgeous." And then he started laughing as well.

I noticed the slight blush on her cheeks. Ouch again.

"So what are you doing here?" I asked irritated. Josh first looks shocked at my tone of voice. Then he glances around at everyone.

Maya ,Farkle and Zay seem to be holding in a fit of laughter. "Alright as I was saying" he then pauses looks around again. All 3 of their faces looks like they so close to bursting.

"I heard that the carnival was in town. And I wanted to come down to spend time with Ma-you guys." Josh said glancing anywhere but Maya. She had a satisfied grin on her face.

"But Josh the age difference is too vast." She says with a smug look.

He scoff and pulls her in for a hug. "Oh shut up." Breathe Lucas Breathe. What is breathing?

"So what do you guys want to do now?" Asks Farkle.
Zay whispered ,"food" once again. But before he could leave Farkle and I grabbed him and kept him in place.

"Doesn't this carnival have a couples boat ride?" Asked Smackle. Smackle I hate you so much right now.

Zay sighed. And that gave me an idea. "You know guys for Zay's sake we shouldn't go in couples." Everyone looked confused.

"Well it's simple really. How about we do this...Smackle will go with Zay ,Farkle with Riley ,I'll go with Maya. And someone can come back for Josh like Smackle since they will be the first group out. I mean they only let three couple in at a time." I didn't wait for anyone to respond.

I just grabbed Maya and walked to the line. I let Farkle and Zay go before us then Riley and Smackle.

Farkle pulled me away from Maya and grabbed Zay along. "Lucas what is going on?" Farkle asks. "Yeah man you going kinda... What's the word. Maya crazy." Said Zay.
"Didn't you choose Riley? Not Maya?" Farkle asks.

"You both were there! What did it look like happens?" I snapped. Zay lift up his hands in defeat.
"You don't scare Farkle ...HAh ,Farkle time."
"Give me your best bud."

"You wanted to choose Maya didn't you? But Maya chose for you. So now you feel obligated to follow that choice ,even though all you really wanted was-" farkle was interrupted by Zay.

"The blonde beauty. But now you feel its too late. And you feel as if nothing is ever the same and that no matter who you chose it would've been different. So-" Zay was cut off by Farkle.

"So you at least wanted it to be your choice. But my fierce Moon wouldn't let you out of fear. And now you stuck wishing you didn't choose the Sun. Because-" Once again cut off my Zay.

"Because you still have feelings for the Moon. Just to be clear the moon is Maya right?" Farkle nodded. "You Still have feelings for Tomb stone the bull."

"But now you trapped by something you couldn't over come. Judy the sheep." Finished Farkle off. I looked at them with wide eyes.

They both high-fived. In which Zay yelled "Nailed it!" The same time Farkle yelled "Thank you I am Farkle."
"I like that man can I try it?"
"Yeah sure go ahead."
"Thank you I am Zay!"
"Nice man" they then highfived.
"Same time?" Farkle nodded.
"Thank you we are Farkle and Zay." But Zay yelled Zay first.

"What do I do now?" I whispered more to myself.
"You tell them the truth." Answered Farkle.
"And hope you don't loose them both in the process." Added Zay.
"That seems like a big risk." I answered.
"Yeah but they worth it." Replied Farkle.
"She sure is." I whispered.

Farkle and Zay glanced at each other. "Ma boi whipped." Yelled Zay. I covered his face with my arms. "Shut up willyah?"

We finally moved back to the group.
"Hey" said Maya

"How long you think they gonna do this for?" Whispered Zay.
"I don't know it hasn't gone on for so long before." Farkle whispered back.

"Bye." Said Josh ,pulling Maya towards him. I clenched my jaw. "Josh she rides with me." I said.
"Oh yeah we sure that's what Maya wants?" We started glaring at each.

"Hold your Horses Ranger Rick , yes I will ride with you. But you sure you don't want ride with your girlfriend." Maya asked. She said Ranger Rick. I smiled.

"I am good riding with my short stack of pancakes." I answered ,with a smirk.

The next thing she did made me very happy. She grabbed my shirt and brought me closer to her.

God am I hyperventilating ?

"Huckleberry I suggest you take that back." "What if I don't?" I questioned.

We stood there staring at each other. Until she let go and said. " I will break you."
" I would like to see you try." I said pretending to tip a hat.
"I still can't get to you. Can I?"
"Nope." I smiled. She smiled.
It felt just like the old days.

"This is so weird its kinda how it was in the beginning." Farkle whispered to Zay.
"I have no idea what's happening. But I am TeamMaya."
"Me too"

I looked at them both shocked. They made me decide and suffer with this choice for years. When they we're routing for Maya. And now I ended up with Riley?

"I will be right back." I went over to Farkle and Zay and death glared them.
"You were Team Maya? Why didn't you just tell me you knew. You both knew I liked her more. You both knew we were better with each other. I mean I knew this deep down ,but maybe if you guys."
Farkle interrupted my whisper yell.

"If we want Lucas? Told you we know how you feel? You needed to figure this out for yourself. So that you could see it was true. Real. And genuine. That this could be." He trailed off.
"Could be what Farkle?" I pushed.

"Love.  It is love man" answered Zay.

Is it possible could I love Maya? But if I do...does she love me back?

I am being ridiculous.
I am with Riley now.
I will love her.

No more Maya.
No more thinking of her.
No more wishing I was with her.
No more wishing I kissed her at that campfire.
No more wanting an opportunity to redo that.

I am done.
I let go.

We better off as friends.
