Chapter 20

Maya P.O.V

"Really Lucas?" Zay paused. "The rope we built as kids to get across that river is your surprise? "Another pause. Zay sighed heavily. "Why couldn't you have just killed us?"

Lucas looked like a fish.

"Well I love it!" Yelled Farkle as he took of his shirt than jeans.

"Farkle nude I am in." Said Smackle

Zay than looked at Lucas. "We haven't been here in years...you think its still stable?"

"Let's be real some kids found this and made it theirs even though are names are carved here...so its stable." Said Lucas.

"Not unless Jimmy came here." Said Zay.

Lucas looked frightened. "Quick touch wood."

"Huck-"

"No time for arguing everyone touch the wood dammnit!" Yelled Lucas as he and Zay hugged a tree.

Farkle ran for a log and so did Smackle.

I looked at Riley sulking.

"Hey Riles let's claim this tree ours!" I said walking to a tree.

She perked up.

"Alright Peaches."

We finally home.

School tomorrow which sucks ,but I am glad the group is back together.

Riley P.O.V

Ring Ring

"Come on pick up ,pick up." I whispered to myself as I impatiently tapped my finger on my bay window.

Ring Ring

"What could he possibly be doing right now?"

Ring Ring

"Pick up."

Ri-

"Riley?"

I gulped and closed my eyes. Here goes nothing.

"Charlie hey..." I paused. I don't want to do this. "So I have been thinking... You want to any chance go out tomorrow?" I scrunched my eyes closed wishing for - well I am not sure exactly I mean I don't want to date him but I am still nervous he would say no. But this is needed.

He laughed on the other side. "If someone were to tell me that one day in the future Riley Matthews was gonna ask me out I would have signed them up for a mental institution."

"I am not sure what to make of that response." I said with uncertainty.

"Riley I have liked you since as long as I can remember if you think I am gonna say no maybe you need the institution."

I laughed. "You might be right about that part."

"So what time we meeting?" He asked.

"7 at Topanga's?"

"Sounds good to me." He responded.

Then we said our goodbyes.

Farkle P.O.V

I hate her.

Because all thanks to her I can't seem to get that stupid kiss out of my head.

Why does she have to do this to me now?

"What's wrong Babe?" Smackle asks as looks to me.

We busy watching Teen Wolf or something.

"Mmh?"

"You seem distracted lately." She said with a concern look on her face.

She doesn't deserve this.

She doesn't deserve me thinking of kissing another girl.

I mean I love her. I do.

But maybe I am not in love with her.

"Oh nothing is wrong." I shake my head and kiss her on the forehead.

Forget my stupid dream analogy I have to talk to Lucas and Zay.

Lucas P.O.V

"YOU WHAT?" Yelled me and Zay at the same time as we just found out Farkle and Riley shared a kiss in Texas.

Farkle nodded and pulled at his hair. "And now I can't seem to get her out of my head."

"But you love Smackle!" I yelled.

Farkle nodded. "I do but perhaps I am not in love with her."

Zay shook his head. "Holy shit man."

"So what you gonna do?' I asked.

"Stay with Smackle."

Zay looked confused. "But why?"

"Why end the best thing that's ever happened to me? Just because of a stupid kiss? Besides we don't need more drama." Responded Farkle.

I shook my head. "I don't know man ,it sounds to me like that kiss was the best thing that ever happened to you."

"Yeah well Riley and I had plenty of opportunities to be together...so there's no point in it now. Our time is up." He said.

"Or has it just begun?" Asked Zay thoughtfully. 

Farkle P.O.V

I looked at Zay weirdly and shook my head and scoffed. "Real funny Zay."

Zay gave me a blank look. "I am not kidding man...besides its not fair to Smackle to just stay with her because you didn't want to cause drama."

I sighed and sat down while pulling my hair. "God...what am I going to do?"

Lucas grabbed my shoulder." Follow your heart."

Farkle P.O.V

I walk into school with Smackle by my side to witness the last thing I thought I would ever witness.

Charlie and Riley holding hands walking to Maya and Lucas as if they were in slow motion.

Smackle clapped her hands. "Our whole group is basically all coupled up."

At that moment Zay rounded the corner eating a packet of chips. "What I miss?"

I shook my head and laughed. "Nothing man."

We walked to the group.

Riley and I made eye contact.

And my pulse increased.

God she looks like a goddess today.

She smiles at me. "Hey Farkle."

I gave her a wave. "So you and Charlie huh?"

She was about to respond until Charlie did. "Yeah she's all mine." He puts an arm over her shoulder.

She looks uncomfortable.

She gave a short laugh. "Yeah...this is my reality now."

We were staring at each other. It was intense.

I gulped.

She gulped.

I am royally screwed.
