Chapter 16

A/n this is so far my fav chapter.

Lucas POV

Oh god why did i say that? She's been speechless for way too long now.

I am an complete and utter idiot.

Her mouth is gaped open and eyes wide.

You guys are probably wondering what I said right?

Well... It kinda just came out.

I looked towards her and smiled. "You know ...when I was trying to decide between you and Riley I used the analogy of Judy the sheep and tombstone the bull to help me decide."

She gave a small laugh. "Three guess who I was."

I shook my head smiling. "That was a good thing though. Riley was the sheep I never feared until the end when I fell off and shamed my family...but you , you always scared me. You gave me nightmares from the day i first looked at you...Then when i found out that i was going to have a chance with you. That was about the scariest moment of my life." I looked her right in the eyes. "That was the day I chose you. Because you scared me , but brought me adventure and excitement ...happiness. And the matter of the fact is. I stayed on the bull. I was meant to be with you Maya. A-And I have fallen so hard for you... Yet I will never let go of this idea of you and me. And I just wish I never let you make my choice for me ,because you stripped me from being with the most precious beautiful person I have ever met." Then I inhaled sharply. "So will you stay with me now today...and choose me as I chose you?"

And she's been staring at me with an astonishing look on her face for the past 7 minutes.

And we were super close because I stood up and walked towards her as she walked backwards until she just stood planted on her feet.

Now I feel like we've just been looking at each other for way too long.

She then shook her head , gave me a small smile. Then laughed. "You're an idiot Lucas Friar."

"I-what?" I said looking towards her?

Holy shit. I fucked up. She hates me ...probs thinks I am crazy.

"You right I should probably-" she stopped me by planting a soft kiss on my lips.

It was a kiss that was so tender and pure...so unlike Maya ,but somehow exactly like her at the same time.

She reached her right hand up slowly and held my cheek gently in the palm of her hand as she kissed me.

I stood there shocked.

Then my hand went to the back of her head and tangled in between her hair as I finally kissed her back feeling the fire that struck between us.

My other hand went towards her hip and her other hand went for my lower back.

I pulled her closer towards me as if I couldn't get enough of her presence which was consuming every enzyme in my body ,every bone ,every nerve ...it was electrifying.

Our lips moved in sync as if this was a dance we had rehearsed for many years...as if it was written in the stars , as if we met in a past life and fell in love before ,as if we were destiny itself so much so that the stars were routing for us.

And I knew she felt it too.

Our kiss deepens as our tongues met.

The fire within us only ignited more. As we both tried pulling each other as close as possible.
