Alexa's P.O.V

"Will u tell them about your son?" Kate asks me

"I will over dinner to my house tomorrow! U're invited BTW... "

"Fine..." She says and we go back to the girls

"What happened?" Stella asks

"I'll tell u all about it tomorrow night over dinner to my house...OK?"

"Sure! I'd love to catch up...I really missed u,guys!" Emma says and we all agree. We start talking while sipping on our drinks, until we hear a familiar voice...

"Ugh! Nancy!" We state all at once, while looking at each other

"And she's not alone..." Kate says looking at me

"Here we go again..." I say finishing my drink

"I'll go get some more..." I say and Stella grabs my wrist stopping me

"Stella, I'm good, I don't have a problem anymore..." I reassure her looking her in the eyes. She sighs and lets me go. I smile to her and go to get another drink. As I turn back, I see that Nancy is with the girls

"Hey..." I say as pleasantly as I can when I reach them, with a fake smile

"No.Way! Alexa? Is that u?" She asks checking me out with an open mouth

"That's me!"

"Gosh! What a change! U seem like a new person! come on...tell me what did u do except from the hair? Botox?"

"Uhm...nothing, really!"

"Wow... I really have to show u to Anthony!" She says and runs to find him

"Shit...I need a cigarette!" I say opening my purse and taking one. As I light it, I see her coming back

"Look honey! It's Alexa!" She says excited showing me to him

"Miss Cara..." He says trying to look professional

"Mr. Blue..." I say blowing the smoke away, looking indifferent

"Isn't she beautiful?" She asks him. His eyes are staring at mine

"Indeed...how are u, Miss Cara?"

"Better than ever, how about u?"

"I'm good, thanks for asking..."

"Oh now that I remembered: Alexa, how's your son? how old is he now? 18?" Kate asks out of the blue, making me freeze. I turn to look at her with wide eyes and so does everyone else

"Son? U have a son? Oh my!" Nancy says

"Yeah...u have a son?" Stella asks shocked

"Yes, she does!" Kate says

"I do...he-he's 18..." I finally say stuttering. I feel Anthony's eyes on me

"Is he going to college?" Kate continues leaving room for no one else

"Yes..." I reply still in shock

"That's so nice!" Nancy says smiling

"Alexa...Explain pls!" Stella says still in shock

"I will tomorrow,I promise!"

"Oh, u guys didn't know? Oh, I'm sorry to spill the secret!" Kate says playing innocent and I look at her with a raised eyebrow

"It's ok...I guess..." Emma says trying to wake up from the shock

"Did u hear that,honey? She has a son! How cute! What field?" Nancy asks

"Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University...the best for my son!" I say proudly

"The best,indeed...isn't it,love?" She asks Anthony who's still staring at me

"Yes,honey...the best... " He says while we lock eyes

"Well,u will excuse me,I have to make a call!" Kate says stepping away...

Kate's P.O.V

As I talk on the phone, I feel a hand around my arm, but before I can react I'm turned, looking at Anthony

"Excuse u,Blue...what the hell are u doing?"

"Is this kid mine?" He asks me

"Honey,I'll call u right back..." I say to my husband on the phone and I hang up

"What?" I ask like I didn't hear him

"Is.This.Kid.Mine?" He asks me with pause between words, almost between his teeth

"I don't know what u're talking about!" I say playing dumb

"Cut the crap! I'm talking about Alexa's son...Is he mine?"

"I'm not telling u! Just to see if u'll die from curiosity...how old are u now? 70?"

"Kate!"

"Ok...fine! He's yours! But u have no right to tell her anything! I know what u told her that night and u're a huge dick! This woman has given her life for this kid...she did everything in her power to shape him into a descent human being that would look nothing like u,except from the physical characteristics!"

"U know nothing about me!"

"I know enough! When u love someone u screw everything else just to be with them! U don't ask them to be your fucking mistress! So, now, excuse me, I have to call my husband again!" I say leaving him

When I come back, I see he's there too and that Nancy has Alexa's hand in hers

"This ring is lovely! Where did u get it?" Nancy asks her

"Well...It was a gift from the love of my life..." She says and I swear I heard her swallowing hard, like she was trying not to cry. I also see her looking at Anthony, while Nancy was admiring the ring...

Alexa's P.O.V

When she asked me about the ring, I swallowed like I had a knot down my throat...

"Well...It was a gift from the love of my life..." I tell her, looking at Anthony...
