RECAP
"I could take you home if you like. Do you want to report what happened or go to the doctor to see if you're bruised or anything?"
"No. I just want to lay down and get some rest."
"Okay. Let your mom know that I'm taking you home early."
"Okay." I heard her spoke in her soft tone.

I walked next to her in case she falls unexpectedly. Gently, I pulled her closer to me, leaving my arm around her and comfort my touch on her shoulder. I wanted to protect her, be there for her; I don't want to see her get hurt and I don't want to lose her, even after my dumb mistake for the past. I almost lost her. Forever. Thank god that she has a nice persona. She has the kindest, warming heart; the nicest girl I know even if she doubted me in the beginning. But I made a promise to her to not hurt her and I would do anything for her. I'm grateful for her coming into my life somehow.
We finally got to my car, I opened the door for her to make sure she got in her seat safely. I walked around and climbed in my sat, warming up the car, and drove off the premises. It was a nice drive in the early afternoon and a nice escape to not stay trap in school for the rest of the day. I kept looking at her real quick before resuming my vision on the road. "Are you sure you're okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah. Can you turn the radio down a bit? My headache is still bothering me." I saw she leaned against the window, staring at it while holding her head with her hand.
"Sure, angel." I reached down to turn the volume knob down. Silence. The car ride was quiet but I didn't want her to feel smothered. Just a few more blocks and we will be at her house in no time.
Five minutes later, I pulled in her driveway and parked my car there. I bolted out of my car quickly enough to help her up. She waved her hands, rejected the help but I did carry her bag for her. Slowly approaching to get to the front door, she reached for her keys inside her purse and unlock the door. I let her walk in first so she can go ahead and relax for a bit. I closed the door behind me once I made my entrance, hanged her purse on the rack next to the doorway, and headed to the kitchen. "Want an ice pack?" I asked her as I saw she was laying on her stomach with her head meeting the couch pillow. "Please." I heard her respond. I grabbed some paper towels, open the freezer door, took one of the flexible cold packs, and folded it with the towels. I walked over to her with the ice pack and found some medicine to help subside the pain. "Feeling a bit better?," I requested to ask her.
"A little."
"Do you need anything else?" I knelt down by her, softly running my hands through her hair to give her the luxury treatment she deserves.
"My blanket," I heard her quiver from the cold draft coming from the living room window.
I kissed her head just when I was about to get up from the floor and bounced up the stairs to her room to grab what she needed. Once I took the blanket off from her bed, I went back downstairs to cover her with it. "Thank you." I heard her tell me.
