Chapter Nine

Flashback

Kit and his family just move into the neighbourhood.. Kit is just 11 years old..

One day,  Kit was bored since it was school holiday, but both of his parents are not home and he has no sibling..

Kit thought about going out to see the area.. It's been a week but still didn't have a chance to know the neighbourhood.. He know his parents wouldn't allowed him to go alone.. So, he quietly go out.. Luckily, his maids did not see him..

Kit just walked.. He hope to find another kids so he could play together.. Without he realize, he went to an alley.. It was very quite.. He also realize that he don't remember the way to his house.. And the best thing is.. He forgot to bring his phone.. Kit curse himself..

Suddenly, he saw a woman entering a house.. He bravely ask the woman to lend him her phone so that he could call his house..

The woman smile.. Then,  she invite Kit to enter her house.. And Kit just go with her since the alley is quite dark in the evening.. But he didn't know that the woman would keep him inside for.. More than one day..

It's been two days since Kit missing.. His parents reported to the police.. Kit's mother cried and prayed so her only son stay safe..

Kit was helpless.. He cried.. He shouted.. He pleaded.. But nothing change.. He still inside the house..

On the second day,  the woman get out of the house..

"My son.. I'm going out for a while.. Don't be naughty and wait for me.. I'll bring you your brother.. Okay.." she said while pat Kit head..

As soon as the woman gone.. Kit quickly go to the door..  But it was hard for him to move since he was being tied.. He has to jump.. He was very dissapointed to see the door was locked.. All of the windows also being locked..

Finally Kit just go back to his place.. He was so tired.. His energy was empty.. The woman didn't give him any food but only gave him a bottle of water.. Luckily he has a few candy to give him a bit energy..

Suddenly the door was opened.. The woman came back with.. A boy..

"I bring your brother.."

Then the boy also being tied.. Now,  both of them can't do anything.. The boy also cried, shouted and pleaded like he did until he is tired..

When the woman sleep,  both of them still didn't sleep..

"Hey, nong.. Are you okay?" Kit whisper to the kid.. And the kid's eyes become teary again.. "Shhh.. Please don't cry.. You will wake her up.." the kid only nod but he still can see the kid tear in his eyes..

Kit look for something in his pocket.. Kit took out a candy..

"If nong promise to stop crying.. P will give this.." Kit said.. Eventhough that is the last candy he has.. The kid quickly stop crying..

"I promise p.." then,  Kit gave his candy to the Kid.. Kit sure he was hungry.. Then they talked for a while.. 

The kid said that he was playing with his older brother.. Then he run from his brother wishing his brother will catch him.. But suddenly he was lost.. Then, the woman said that he will bring him to his brother..

Kit also get to know that the kid is 9 years old.. Before he could ask his name, the kid had fallen asleep..  So,  Kit also sleep wishing that something will happen the next day..

Another day had passed.. That day, the woman went out too.. But Kit did not have any energy left in his body same as the kid.. It looked like both of them had given up on their life..

"Yo! Yo! Yo! Where are you? Yo!"

Kit heard someone shouted.. It means that someone is near them.. He pushed himself to go to the living room.. He find a newspaper and a pen.. He quickly write something and go back to his room.. The room windows was direct to the road at the alley.. He slipped a piece of the newspaper with a note through the space at the window..

The boy spotted a piece of paper flying from a house.. He quickly picked it up and read the note..

"Anyone there?" The boy shouted..

"Y.. Yes.. He.. Hel.. Helppp.." Kit said with a weak voice..  Then Kit was unconscious.. When he realised,  he was already at a hospital.. He saw his mother holding his hand with tears..

"My son.."His mother said while caressing his cheeks.. Suddenly Kit was sweating a lot.. He closed his ears.. He kept hearing someone said 'my son'.. Kit scream loudly.. His mother quickly called the doctor..

It took a few years for Kit to treat his trauma because of the incident.. After he was stable,  he suddenly remember about the kid.. So,  he ask his mother but she didn't tell him anything because he doesn't want Kit to remember the incident and suffer again..

The end of Flashback

Everyone was speechless.. Didn't know what to response..

"P'Kit.. You really don't remember the kid?" Wayo ask..

"Yes.. And I don't even know how I survive.. Hahaha.." Kit answers with a force laugh..

"P'Kit.. Do you remember this?" Wayo shows him a candy..

"Yes!  That's the.. Wait.. How.."

"It's me p.. Thanks for taking care of me back then.. I owe you my life p.." Wayo says.. Without he realize, a tear fall from his eye.. "After you fainted,  the woman came back.. Not long after that,  the police came.. I didn't get a chance to thank p properly.. So finally,  today I get the chance p..  Thank you so much.. P'Kit.. "

Kit also can't hold his tear.. A tear also fall to his cheek.. He wipe his tears and smile..
