Chapter 1: Portal to Pain

GUESS WHO DISCOVERED A NEW TORTURE METHOD?! HA IT'S MEEEEE!! WELL, IT'S NEW TO ME ANYWAY AND I'M REALLY FRIGGING EXCITED ABOUT IT-

"I don't understand. We've beaten him to the brink of death and he hasn't even started to crack." Aiden paced back and forth in the living room of the house he forced Maya and Gil to build in the middle of the woods, a decent ways away from Beacontown.

"He still has that annoying faith in his friends I keep having to remind you of." Cassie rolled her eyes and leaned back into the couch as she watched Aiden pace, twirling her axe around casually.

"It is really annoying, isn't it?" Maya sat next to Cassie.

"Yeah, that's...what I just said." Cassie rolled her eyes again.

"Why don't we just remind him that his friends aren't coming to save him and we're gonna kill him anyway so might as well just tell us where it is." Gil said with his normal cheesy look.

"No...we don't want him to know that we're going to kill him. He won't tell us where it is if he knows he's gonna die anyway. We have to let him have some hope of escaping." Maya explained.

"Oh, yeah!" Gil slapped his forehead. "Wait, I don't get it."

"That's because you're a dumba**." Cassie smiled.

"Huh?" Gil tilted his head to the side. Cassie rolled her eyes and took a sip of an old Coke that had been sitting on the floor.

"Guys!" Aiden yelled and snapped his fingers. "I have an idea."

"Chinese water torture?" Cassie sprang up.

"No.. although that's not a bad idea." Aiden put a finger on his chin as Cassie began nodding. "I don't know the technical name for it... but watch.. and learn."

"Oh, sure. Like I'm gonna learn anything from someone who's friends with that guy." Cassie pointed at Gil.

"Cassie, can you lay off please?" Maya stood up.

"Fine." She rolled her eyes.

(Ten minutes later)

"Wake up!" Aiden yelled as he slapped Jesse upside the head.

"W-Wha-?" Jesse slowly raised his head from the metal table his arm was chained to.

"Notice anything?" Maya kicked his leg and slightly gestured to his hands. Jesse eyes widened as he looked down. His hands were bruised and covered in blood (as usual) but he had skinny, nail like pieces of metal sticking out from underneath his fingernails... he should be in unbearable pain... but he couldn't feel anything.. yet.

"We injected you with a numbing medication..." Gil circled the table.

"Any moment now it will start wearing off... oof, you're gonna feel that tomorrow." Cassie faked cringed.

"And today." Aiden winked at her. Cassie just rolled her eyes.. again.

"Just... tell us where it is.. and we'll make sure you don't feel any pain. Trust me, it's worth it." Maya pushed down on of of the nails, causing it to slightly break Jesse's fingernail, blood pouring out immediately.

"Where what is?" Jesse smiled up at her.

"The portal key, you stupid lying son of a bi-!"

Cassie placed her hand on Aiden's shoulder and gave him a look. He sighed and backed away from the table with Cassie.

"Look, just tell us where the portal key is.. and you won't have to feel a thing.." Maya shrugged as if it was an obvious decision.

Jesse laughed a little and glared at her. "You think I don't know what you mean by that.. I know you all are going to kill me the second I tell you where it is... but.. if I don't, you have to keep me alive. Because I am the only one who knows where it is! And eventually.. the rest of the Order will find me and they are going to kick your as-!"

"Alright, that's enough of that." Aiden said casually as he slammed the handle of his sword into Jesse's head. Cassie laughed and shoved Aiden's shoulder playfully. He smiled and looked at the ground, blushing a little. (Oooo, am I sensing a crush??? Well, I mean, I am the one writing it soo)

Suddenly, there was a loud bang from upstairs. (they torture him in the basement duh. Where else?)

"What was that?" Maya jumped.

"Oh, no.." Cassie frowned and began bolting up the stairs, axe held high.

"Cass, wait!" Gil yelled as he followed her.

Cassie breathed heavily as she burst through the basement door, the sunlight creeping through the windows and blinding her.

"Cass-!"

"Sh!" Cassie quickly placed her finger over Aiden's lips. She cautiously looked around before locking eyes with her adorable, calico cat standing next to a broken Coke bottle.

"Ugh, Winslow!" She ran over and picked him up. "You scared the crap outta me.."

"No kidding." Maya looked around a little more.

"Shut up, Maya." Cassie snapped.

"Next time it might not just be the cat..." Aiden looked at them seriously. "We have to be ready. If I know Lukas... he's looking everywhere for him."

"He won't find him." Cassie nodded and pet Winslow.

The truth was... Lukas wasn't looking...

(13 days earlier)

"Attention, Beacontown!" Radar yelled from the podium set up in the center of town.

"Our leader Jesse..." he took a deep breath. "is dead.."

Sorry this wasn't as bloody. It was more story building😅 next chapter will be story building as well but after that.. BLOOODD!!!
