Mason POV
From what I could tell so far Bonnie's family are really caring, nice, acepting people who watch out for one another. So yeah, were playing freeze tag, Bon's best friend or one of her best friends Caroline, a bright, bubbly person decided on freeze tag so we can all feel like kids again. I am so excited and I know that I'm not getting tagged tonight.
Elena POV
"It's a beautiful night, I mean the moon is shining so brightly and there are so many shining stars." "Yeah, it's perfect just like you and our daughter and our whole family." Damon whispered in my ear as I smiled. God I love him so much. "Come on lovebirds were gonna start." Care said with a bright smile. "123 not it." I yelled enthusiastically. Everyone else said "not it", except Mason. "Aww, why me." Mason said in a pouty voice, as Bonnie laughed.
Nobody POV
And so their game of tag began with Mason almost winning but, of course Damon was the last one standing when Mason gave up.
Elena POV
As the night dragged on we went inside and talked and laughed till I heard my baby girl. "And that's my cue, night guys." "Night Elena." My family said to me. I scooped my little bundle of joy in my arms and just watched her as I made my way into Damon and I's room. I made silly faces and made her giggle, how I love her giggle. And we both fell asleep in my room.
Damon POV
Downstairs
As Bon Bon and Mason was leaving I shook Mason's hand and hugged Bonnie as I said goodbye. And before Bon left she said that she would be stopping by tomorrow and that we would all go out on a surprise family outing, but she didn't say where to. I said night to Care and walked upstairs to find my wife and princess sleeping, taking up all the space in my bed. I chuckled to myself as I picked up my sleeping princess and looked at her with love and pride. I was proud to be a father. Her father. I walked into her nursery and put her in her crib and kissed her goodnight. As I walked into my room I gently move Elena to her side of the bed, took off my shirt and pulled her close to me. I felt safe, loved, happy.
