I opened my eyes and wondered faintly why the world was red. The I registered the glasses on my face. I sat up and stared at my room. Crap scattered everywhere. I raised my hands up and the metallic items hovered. I started sorting and making them float back to where they belonged. I walked to the bathroom and undressed, taking off the glasses and squeezing my eyes shut tight. I twitched my finger and the water started. I washed quickly and the dried off, shoving the glasses back on my face.

I pulled on my ‘Future Companion’ shirt and a pair of shorts, rolling my hair up into a bun and stepping outside. the halls were empty and I slid down the banister. I landed with a thump, my penny loafers making almost no noise as I wandered to the kitchens. I saw a boy watching TV, and walked into the kitchen. A boy was eating ice cream out of the tub and eyed me carefully.

“hey. You’re the chick who blew up the kitchen yesterday.” I peered around and the kitchen actually looked the same as it did before.

“Yeah, so?” I snapped grabbing a soda out of the same cabinet Logan had the day before. He smiled.

“You related to Wolverine?” He asked and I stared. Who what now hum?

“No.” I said slowly and sat down. he smiled and extended a hand.

“Bobby.” He said and I tensed.

“The one who took Rouge Ice-Skating?” I asked softly and he nodded.

“Yeah. Call me Ice-man.” He said and lowered his hand. I snorted and set my drink on the table. He touched it and it frosted over, the glass cracking slightly. I snorted and stood up. “Hey, wait!” he said standing up.  I waved one hand at him without looking and the fastening on his pants flew and attached themselves to the fridge. “HEY!” I smirked and continued to the front doors. I stepped out into the fresh air and gazed around the huge expanse of the outside. It was peaceful, the sun coming out above the trees and the drive abandoned except for a few birds picking at the ground.

Then the rumble of a motorcycle. I perked up and climbed up onto the railing on the porch. The bike zoomed up and past me and I grinned. I took off, racing after it and stopped. Logan was climbing off, kicking the stand and ruffling his hair.

“Hey.” I said and he looked over his shoulder at me, one eyebrow cocked.

“Hey, kid.” he said and leaned on the bike.

“Sorry about yesterday.” I said and rubbed the back of my neck. He shrugged.

“Just don’t do it again.” he grumbled and watched me. I walked over, eyeing the bike and marvelling at the craftsmanship.

“This is some sweet ride.” I said softly and he chuckled.

“Isn’t even mine.” He said and I snorted.

“Scott?”

“Yup.” I chuckled as he grinned wolfishly at me. I crouched beside the back wheel and spotted what so many others would miss.

“You got a lose gasket here. How often do you steal his bike?” I asked and he shrugged.

“As often as possible.” He admitted and I rolled my eyes. I looked around and grabbed a wrench off a nearby table and rolled onto my back. I pushed the glasses further up my nose and blinked away my near sightedness. I tightened the gasket and tapped it with one nail. “You should be more careful or he’ll catch you.” I said and he grunted.

“What’s he gonna do? Recite a boy scout motto?” I frowned and thought.

“You really hate him, huh?” I said sitting up. He shrugged and I cocked my head to one side. He caught the look.
