Anticipation

his beginning

The ride to Dallas was long and drawn out especially to KaBrina who was indeed a car baby . She had fell asleep before they had even got out of Huntsville . Footz who wasn't any better at staying awake in a moving car was out 10 minutes after her leaving Qualeek and Ezekiel awake .

"You happy you back with your sister is back with us again ? " , Zek asked his oldest son . Qua nodded in response getting drowsy himself , but knew his father needed the company . 

" It will be a lot easier knowing that she is here . " , he shrugged . " I don't have to call . Or worry when she doesn't call us or anything . Especially with Mama being busy with Kaden and her work . "

Ezekial looked into his rear view mirror seeing his daughter and youngest son cuddled on each other in the backseat . "You know her and Footz together again is going to be a big problem " He chuckled " You too once you get used to it again . "

"I'm going to have to put her on a couple of rules though and since Im not around as much and she has Titi wrapped around her pinky finger . I need you to help me enforce them . I would ask your brother , but he would be the one to help her get around it "

"Rules ? Why ? "

"Your sister has been out of control for the past year or so . Fighting and just causing trouble . I think it's just because she is finding herself and learning who she is . She will be sixteen in a couple of months . Your mother thinks otherwise . "

"Mama is always making drama out of nothing . You know Greena never fights unless somebody messes with her first  . She probably just doing stuff normal teenagers do and mama thinks she turning into the damn omen or something"

Ezekial nodded in agreement his ex-wife was a bit of a drama queen and loved to exaggerate . " I'm just saying there isn't much you can do . If she really wants to do something she will do it . Isn't that what you and Titi say about me and Footz ? "

"Maybe just a school curfew then ? "

"Sounds good "

"We here , Greena ! " , Footz shook his sister gently , but hard enough to jolt her back and forth . 

" Ughh " , she groaned and scowled at her childhood nickname . Slowly she sat up and unbuckled her seat belt looking around she didn't get out until she was familiar with her surroundings .

 " We here , baby girl " , She heard her father say from the back of the car as she got out the car and shut the door closed .

She scratched behind her ear and rubbed at her eye . " That seemed like the shortest 3 hours ever " 

 " Maybe cause you slept the whole way " , Qualeek commented grabbing things from the trunk and walking to the front door where Ezekial's wife Titi stood holding the door open . When KaBrina got to the door Titi grabbed her in a hug

 " My baby ! " , she squealed in delight 

. " I've missed you " , she gently moved a strand of hair away from KaBrina's face . 

" I missed you too "

"Let me show you what we did to your room ! " , Titi grabbed her step-daughter's hand and whisked her upstairs . When KaBrina was finally in her room she had to do everything not to just scream her head off . The room was covered in things from the Disney Original Alice In Wonderland . For a while she just stood there taking it all in .
