Natasha stayed sitting down waiting for someone to tell her to leave but no one came. Looking around the station only some people hade left but the rest of the officers continued there days work. "Hi I'm Theodore" the man who made the 'That's what she said' joke rolled his chair over to Tyler's desk and put his hand out for Natasha to shake it.
"I'm Natasha" Natasha said reluctantly shaking his hand and then bringing it back to fiddle with the ring she was wearing.
"So what brings you here?" Theodore asked looking off into the distance, leaning back on his chair. He gave a smirk obviously looking to impress her.
"Well my ex-boyfriend got shot 13 times and I'm here to examine the body." Natasha stated her business and Theodore looked taken aback. The smirk was now gone and only embarrassment showed on his face as he muttered "sorry for your loss" and slowly rolled away.
"If you ignore him he will eventually go away" Clara was walking towards Natasha handing out files (presumably new cases) to other officers. She laughed under her breath and sat down next to Natasha and rested her feet on the desk. It was obvious that Clara didn't care for Tyler's rules and she giggled looking at Natasha stare at her absently. "Hello. Earth to Natasha" she said waving her hand in front of Natasha's face.
"Oh yeh sorry. So do you know what happened just now." Natasha snapped out of the trance and looked over at where Tyler had been previously sitting .
"Oh yeh someone found a body behind a dumpster" Clara replied casually like it was something that happens everyday. Wait this would happen every day, she's a police women Natasha thought feeling once again stupid.
"That's weird" Natasha said thinking about what happened and why someone would and could kill another human.
"What's weird" Clara asked now taking her feet off the desk to listen to what Natasha had to say.
"Well why put it behind a dumpster when they could have put the body in the dumpster? There is a higher chance of someone seeing the body laid out behind because of an arm or leg poking out then there is someone would open an abandoned bin and see it in there. I don't know about you but if I was going to kill someone I would try and hide them as much as possible. It's almost as if the killer wanted someone to notice the body." Natasha finished her speech and only now noticed the horror on Clara's face. She looked around at the precinct and everyone in a 3 meter radius was gobsmacked. " I swear I'm not a murderer, I just like murder mystery shows and book."
After pondering on how to answer to what Natasha said, Clara said "you should become a police women. You would be great and it mean I would have to spend less time with bone-heads like that." She nodded her head in Theodore's direction as he was trying to balance as many pencils on his nose at once. Thinking of it, Theodore reminded Natasha of a puppy maybe a golden retriever or a Labrador.
"Thanks but I'm actually in my final years of Law school"
"That's so cool." Clara exclaimed making more small chat. They talked for hours on hours and Natasha only released how long for when Tyler came back and noticed them sitting down laughing with hardly a care in the world.
"Oh your still here" he said taking off his jacket and resting it in he chair next to them. Natasha quickly turned round and stood up worried she had over stayed her welcome but Tyler shook his head and sat down next to them.
"So" Clara said "who was murdered?"
"Well as the kids say, i'm going to spill the tea" Clara groaned and Natasha just let her head fall into her hands. "It was a man by the name of Harry Michaels" Tyler said looking back down at his notepad presumably were he wrote all his notes from the examination.
"Wow that's strange. Someone I went out with was called that."
"That is strange. But it was a weird fellow really. Bright blonde hair but dark nearly black eyes." Tyler said looking back at his scruffy notes.
"Oh my god. My Harry looked like that to." Now Tyler and Clara were interested both leaning forward. Theodore has been secretly listening in on there conversation but now showed no signs of trying pretend not to listening. Now Theodore, Clara and Natasha were looking to Tyler to see what he would do but al he did was stare at the ground deep in thought.
"Ok. Just so we can be sure, did he have any tattoos when he was with you?" Tyler asked while Natasha thought back to when they were together. Like Alex and her they where a happy couple who could see a future with each other but for some reason he had broke it off. Harry said that he was going in a vacation to Italy to "find himself" and was only meant to be gone 3 weeks but instead he never came back. Thinking back, Natasha remembered that he had a dragon tattoo across his left bicep. It was the only tattoo he had ever gotten he got it because it was her favourite animal. It still is today and she has a tattooed curled up dragon on her ankle.
"He had a dragon tattoo on his left bicep." Natasha said while tracing her own ankle.
"Ok I think we need to talk" Tyler said leading Natasha to an empty space in the precinct were no one could over hear. Natasha looked over his shoulder and saw Clara lightly hitting Theodore over the head probably because he said something stupid.
"This looks really bad on my part but I had nothing to do with anything. You have to believe me. I wouldn't harm-"
"-Natasha, Natasha calm down." Tyler had put his arms on her shoulders to calm he down. Natasha was now hyperventilating and growing more red by the minute. "Listen, I believe you, I don't think you are to blame in any way. There is a pattern here and I think someone may want to frame you or hurt you or worse."
