Chapter 8. Change Came With A Benefit

Dev's POV:

I opened my eyes slighty. My vision was blurred and I couldn't see what was in front of me. I blinked a couple times and I could finally see clearly. And, of course, who was in front of me? Louis. "Hey Lou..." I trailed off snuggling into something warm. A smile appeared upon my face as a morning energy came into my body and I started to flashback into my dream that I barely had. The dream was weird yet happy. It was about Alice, Valerie, and Violet. The dream was just perfect. It was like they were there to tell me something important. I finally got out of my thoughts and paid attention to Louis. "Hey sleepyhead. I guess you had a good sleep." He said cheekily. I furrowed my eyebrows. "What do you mean?" I asked yawning. He smirked, "Do you remember what happened last night?" I tried to recollect everything that happened the night before. My smile became bigger. Last night, I had my official first kiss with Harry in the rain. I was watching two romance movies but then I fell asleep on... "Lou, what am I sleeping on?" I asked uneasily. "Well, he starts with an H. He likes cats. He likes watching the movie The Notebook and Love Actually." He stopped there and winked cheekily at me. I looked up and there I saw him. I was snuggled against Harry's chest as his head was tilted back. I looked back at Louis who still had a cheeky smile on his face. I slowly took Harry's arm off me and sat up straight. I rubbed my face and my eyes. My hair and clothes were still damp from the rain yesterday. I didn't even change from my coat and beanie. I got up and went to Niall who was sitting at the little table munching on breakfast. "Hey Nialler." I greeted him. He gave me a strange look. Like one of those looks of betrayal. He forced a smile on his face showing his brace filled teeth. "Hi beautiful, have a good sleep?" He asked as his eyes flickered from Harry to me. "Kind of. I had a really good dream." I said with a nice toothy grin. He finished whatever he was eating and looked up at me with crumbs around his mouth. "Oh really? What was it about?" He asked actually interested on what I had to say. "It was about my three friends. They were happy and it seemed like they showed up to comfort me." I said looking into space with a smile. Just seeing their happy face again makes me happy. Knowing that they are in a better place makes me feel better about them. Niall stood up and gave me a light hug and kiss on the cheek. "That's lovely Dev. Nice to see you finally have a good dream." He said throwing his wrapper in the trash. "Hey, I'm going to run some errands. I'll be back in a couple hours." I said giving Niall a quick kiss on the head. These errands were something I had to do on behalf of my three amazing friends. "Bye Lou!" I said waving at the boy watching something on the telly. He waved back with a smile. I gave Harry a quick kiss on the head and left. I went back to my room and got ready to do my special errands. I quickly stripped and took a shower. I stepped out twenty minutes later and wrapped a towel around my body. I blow dried my hair leaving it in its wavy state and applied my makeup and especially the coverup for my eye. Alittle more than usual but I still looked good. I grabbed my clothes from my suitcase and quickly put them on. I wore my blue and white tye dye skinny jeans with my white London high low top and leather jacket. I also put on my grey and black OBEY snapback with my black raybans.  I slipped on my white Supras and grabbed my skateboard, guitar, wallet, phone, earphones, and lipgloss. That was also one thing people didn't know about me. I know how to skate. My board was pretty unique indeed. On the back was my favorite grafitti artist Keith Haring's design. It was purple and had a green two headed monster screaming. I have more skateboards at home but I brought my second favorite on my trip. I headed out of my room at 12:00. I went down to the lobby and went out through the back. I took out my phone and texted Ed.

To: Ed The Ginger Jesus :)

Hey Ed! Is it alright If I go to your place now? I know we agreed on doing it later in the evening but I just don't have time. It would be great if we could do it now! :) xx

He quickly replied back agreeing with me. I'm so happy. I finally get to do it with him! Since his place wasn't to far from here, I decided to skateboard there. I started skating on the sidewalks of Florida. I did get quite a few stares from people but I didn't care. I even managed to do a few tricks over things. I finally got to Ed's place where he also had his friend that agreed on being with me today. "Hey Ed." I walked in. "Hi Beautiful. This is the guy who's going after me." He said gesturing to his friend next to him. "Kevin. Am I right?" I asked unsurely as I held out my hand. "Yeah. I'm Kevin." He said shaking my hand. "Okay Ed. Let's get started." I said putting my skateboard down against the wall and the rest of my things. "Yeah, just sit down there. And I'll grab a few things." He said and walked away to another room. I laid down on the leather bed and took off my right shoe and sock. I'm finally going to do this. I've been waiting awhile and I've been contemplating it for a long time. But after their passing, I had to do it. Ed finally came back with a couple supplies and gloves. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded and started to bite the inside of my lip. I sat up and placed my foot closer to him. He dabbed the needle into the ink and began scribbling on my ankle. His friend's tattoo shop was pretty neat. It had alot of decor and was very posh. It only took five minutes of pain and he was done. He drew a little smiley face. "Thanks Ed." I said getting up and hugging him. "No problem babe. It was my pleasure." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek. I gave him one too. Then Kevin came and took Ed's seat to start on my arm. "I really like your board Dev. I didn't know you skate?" Ed said sitting in a stool in front of me. He started to talk to me because it would take my mind off the pain of the tattooing of my arm. "Yeah. I have lots more boards back home. That's my second favorite. The design is by Keith Haring." I said pointing to my awesome board. We kept on talking about different subjects till Kevin was done with my second tattoo. It was an infinity sign and completing it was 'Forever and Always'. He covered the tattoo with some cloth. Then he had to start on my third tatt. I changed my position to my back facing towards him. I had to take of my shirt which actually revealed my black strapless tubtop. He began to work on my right shoulder. It only took him ten minutes since the tattoo was very small. It was only three little birds flying. He put some liquid over it and covered it up with another cloth. Now he just had to do my final two last ones on both of my wrists. On the side of my right wrist, he started to ink a bold heart with the infinity sign going through it. Since it was again a small tattoo, it took him less that half an hour. He did the same routine with covering it up. The last one was on my left wrist and slightly tilted to the side. It was a bold music note that actually was made into a heart. He was done with all the tattoes in two hours flat. My skin did kind of sting but it was worth it. "Thanks Kevin. I really appreciate it!" I said giving him a hug. "Your welcome babe." He said kissing my cheek. I paid the nice man and turned to Ed. "Well, I got to go Ed. I'll talk to you later." I said grabbing my things. "Do you really have to go? We could get some coffee or something?" He asked pouting as he grabbed my hand. "I'm sorry Ed. Maybe tomorrow we could go out for some lunch. I really have alot to do today." I said pouting a bit aswell. I had a really nice chat with him. "Oh, it's okay. Yeah, I'm down to go out tomorrow. Just tell me the time and I'll be there." He said chuckling a bit. We were really close to each other since he pulled me in. I stared off into his light blue orbs. They really did have an affect on me. Then as I fell into a trance, Ed lightly pecked me on the lips and ran off. I snapped out of my gaze. I shook my head. What just happened? Why did Ed kiss me and leave? I really hope he doesn't develop any feeling with me. I'm not good enough for him. I shook my head again and left the store. My next stop was the peircing shop. Yes, I'm thinking of getting a few piercings. I walked in and got greeted by the receptionist right away. "Hi, I was wondering if I could try on some fake piercings to see how they would look on me?" I asked unsure if that was even possible. "Yeah, I'll show you a couple." She said leading me to a glass cabinet. "What kind of piercings do you want to see?" She asked. She was quite young but had alot of tattoes and piercings. "Just the two hoop snakebites and spiderbites." She handed me two of each. I tried the two snakebites then the spiderbites. I actually looked good in both. "Can I buy these? I just want to ask my friends for an opinion." I said holding the metal piercings. "Yeah sure. That will be $20." She said tapping on the cash register. I paid and left the store. It was already 2:00 and I started to get hungry. I went into a small restaurant and ordered a chicken burger. It came to me in fifteen minutes and I gobbled it up in five. I quickly chugged down the soda and left after paying and tipping. Now, on to the salon. It was a couple blocks away and it took me ten minutes to get there. I entered a bit out of breath. "I have an appointment with Linda." I said to the receptionist. She tapped on her keyboard and then led me to the petite little lady at her station. "What would you like me to do today?" she asked playing with my hair. I sat down on the leather seat and stared into the mirror. "I want to temporarely dye my hair." I said looking sternly at myself. "Okay, what color?" She asked running her fingers through my locks. I blushed a light pink and looked down at my hat. "I was wondering if you could make highlights in my hair. All different colors but not starting at my roots. And if you could sweep my hair to the side like this?" I asked pointing to the picture I had brought her. "Sure honey. And by the way, I love your long hair." She said giving the picture back to me. She started to work her magic. She did, of course, have to cut my hair. But only an inch off. After an hour, of hair dying and cutting she was done. "OMG I love it!" I said putting my hat back on. I gave her a hug and paid the lady. I walked out of the place and put my snakebites on. Second to last stop, the toy store. You may be wondering why I am going to a toy shop. Well, that will be answered soon. I entered the store after a couple minutes of skating. I started to browse around. I finally found the manager and specially requested 200 stuffed animals. All of them stared at me wide eyed. "Well, are you going to get them?" I asked. They blinked a couple times and nodded. I also bought 200 lollipops. I took that with me though. I paid for everything and instructed them to take them to Florida's Children Hospital. Which was very close from here. Before I could get going to the hospital, I had to text the girls.
