chapter two

You left your dad with 35,000 won (about $30) to get food while you are gone. You headed to the bus stop and met up with Subin. Luckily you, Jinyoung, and Subin got into the same university.

"What happened to your face?" Subin asked pointing at your scar.

"I was washing a glass and I dropped it. One of the shards cut my cheek." You hated lying to her. You got into the bus and just listened to music the whole way. You and Subin got off. You separated since you took different courses.

Your first class was with Jinyoung. You walked in and saw him talking to some girls. You weren't surprised. He was very handsome and pretty famous around the campus. You didn't want to bother them so you just sat in the back corner. You knew he would worry about the save so you tried to avoid showing your face. The class went by fast and he never noticed you weren't sitting next to him. You got up to leave but someone pulled your arm. It was Jinyoung.

"Why didn't you say hi?"

"You were busy." You said as you yanked your arm away. "I didn't want to bother."

You turned around and walked out. Jinyoung caught up to you.

"Are you okay?" He said and pulled back your hair. He saw the scar.

"I'm fine. Don't worry." You stated as you pulled your hair back against your face.

"No you are not."

"Just ask Subin. She'll tell you." He grabbed your shoulders and swung you around to face him.

"Tell me you're okay." He said looking you in the eye.

"I'm perfectly okay."

He let go and you walked away. You two headed to the lunch room. You ordered a salad since you were low on money. You found Subin and Jinyoung and sat with them. The rest of the day was normal. You had work right after class so you headed there first thing. You had two jobs to work that night until 10 pm. It was dreadful and took up most of your energy. But you didn't have a choice.
