Austin
I had almost my whole room packed into the boxes my mom had given me. I looked around the near empty room at the familiar blue walls covered in poster after poster. I've been in this room for as long as I can remember, leaving now doesn't feel right. I sighed loudly and started taking down my posters one by one and rolling them up to put them into a box. I took the full and may I say heavy, boxes down stairs to the front where the movers were and sat them down. I looked over at my mom, running a hand through her long brown hair in annoyance "Austin Robert Carlile I told you we had to be done and ready by two! It's ten after! Are you ready?" I simply nodded at my mom and walked back upstairs to get the rest of my stuff into boxes. "Austin!" My mom yelled at me again and I sighed, grabbing the boxes and heading downstairs with the boxes in hand. "I'm ready mom" She smiled and we headed out to the van, My mom insisted on us driving so we can have "family" Time. Whatever, I just want it over with already.

*Two Weeks Later*
My mom decided to finally kick me out of the house, she told me I needed to make some friends before school started. If only she knew I wasn't very social. I sat on a bench at the park down the street from my new house, scrolling on Tumblr. I saw a few people about my age but being antisocial, I just kept to myself on the bench. "Watch out!" I looked up just in time to have a ball smack right into my chest, making my phone tumble out of my hands and onto the cement. I picked the ball up out of my lap and looked at the boy running towards me. "I'm so sorry my friend isn't very good at sports" He laughed and held his hand out "Kellin" I looked at his hand for a second and shook it "Austin" I said and handed him the ball "Cool! Are you new around here? I haven't seen you around before" He asked, he spoke so quickly I almost didn't catch what he said "Um, yeah we just moved here from Florida." I picked my phone up and wiped the screen "Oh dude, was that broken before?" Kellin asked, pointing at the screen. "No" I sighed and stuffed my phone into my pocket and got up "Dude I'm so sorry" I shook my head and waved "See ya" my mom was not going to be happy about the screen of my phone, we didn't have enough money to just blow away on a new phone. I trudged home and opened the front door "Austin baby did you make any friends today?" She asked as I sat at the counter "Yeah, but he broke my phone" I groaned and dropped my head onto the counter top. "Was it on accident?" She sat a plate in front of me and I nodded "Yeah his friend kicked a ball and it went the wrong way or something" I shrugged and pulled the plate towards me. My mom was a good cook so when I saw the homemade pizza on my plate my mouth began to water "Hurry and eat so we can head to the mall and get you some stuff for school" She said as she sat next to me.
About an hour later we were at the mall, my mom had given me the money for my clothes and went her own way to one of her favorite stores. As for me, I walked around the small store of hot topic. After I grabbed some clothes I had paid and walked out, heading towards Journeys. I knew I already have a pair of black on black converse but, what can I say? They're my favorite. After buying the shoes and some socks I looked around for my mom. I finally found her walking out of Macy's, her arm covered in bags from random stores "Are you ready mom?" I asked walking up to her and taking her bags. She smiled and nodded "Did you get everything you needed?" I hummed a 'mhm' and smiled "I even put in an application at hot topic and the music shop." We got in the car and I plugged my phone into the stereo, turning on Blink-182 "That's awesome, hopefully they call you back" She smiled. My mom was always a happy person, no matter what the circumstances were. "Are you ready for school?" She asked me when she had stopped at a red light, I simply shrugged "I guess, it's my last year so I'm more excited about graduation." My mom just nodded and kept driving towards the house. I looked at my phone and it was already 10pm. I sighed and got out of the car and headed inside with my bags "Good night mom, I'll see you in the morning before school" I kissed her cheek and headed upstairs to my room. I set the alarm on my phone and stripped to my boxers, climbing into bed and mentally preparing myself for tomorrow.
