"So ? I'm the hybrid, why does that mean i have to be an alpha. I don't want anything to do with you or your pack." She said with disgust. He stood up and gestured her to follow, he went to the wall behind his chair, let out his claws and clawd the wall in a circular shape with a line cutting it in half. The mark suddenly disappeared and the walls opened leading to a hallway full of portraits. "Follow me." He said calmly while walking in there looking at the hundreds of portraits on the walls, it was dim in there so it took him a long time to find what he was looking for. After 15 minutes or so of silence he stopped in front of a long rectangular portrait and so did Bella. "Tell me what do you see in that portrait." She squinted her eyes trying to see. "It's so dim in here i can't exactly see properly." "Use your werewolf eyes." He said casually and she looked at him, his eyes was glowing royal blue again. "But how ? I never used it and i never knew how." He examined her then his eyes darted to her earrings. "Take these off." He pointed at the earrings and touched them but she moved his hands away. She didn't know why he asked her to but she did it anyway and took them off, her eyes were still normal. "Um, what now ?" "Look at the portrait and concentrate deeply." She nodded and looked at the portrait, knowing nothing will happen. She concentrated and after a few second the portrait became clearer and clearer as if a strong light was turned on. She looked at her father and he smiled widely then patted her shoulder. "Wasn't that hard, was it ?" From his words she understood that he meant her eyes glowed, she looked at the glass of the portrait and looked at her reflection to find her eyes as blue as her father's, she smiled for discovering a new part of herself she never knew was there. She looked at the portrait that included a girl with colorful hair and glowing eyes, sitting on a throne and there was werewolves sitting on one knees showing respect except on that was standing. Then there's a line separating this image from another, the other image a bad looking wolf sitting on the same throne but with blood on it and the werewolves that were on one knees in the other picture, were dead in this one, with pretty bad figures in it. She looked at her father with worry in her face. "What does that mean." She gulped and she lost control on her eyes and they went back to normal. "I'll tell you out, let's go before someone comes in."
**Meanwhile outside Daniel was eavesdropping with his supernatural hearing, but he couldn't really tell what was going inside.**
They walked outside and he drew the mark again and the walls closed and it looked like it was before, they sat back down. "What you saw my dear girl is a legend, a legend that no one thought it'd ever come true until you were born. The only hybrid that the supernatural world ever witnessed, a shape shifter and a werewolf." She closed her eyes imagining the portrait again, ~Now it makes sense~ she looked up at her father. "So, what if i didn't accept to be the alpha ?" Her father looked at her as well. "The legend says that a wolf will step up, but as you saw in the portrait it was no good." He presses his lips against each other and shook his head. Daniel stopped eavesdropping after that sentence. Kevin was sitting on a stair and put his head in his hand. "But it's just a legend Derek, what makes you so sure about it."
"I wasn't, not until i knew your specie, we all didn't give attention to that legend because no one ever thought there will be a creature like you. But then again here you are right in front of my eyes." Bella didn't reply, she kept quite for a while, she had to process many things at once and it was hard because they weren't just any thing, they were things about her, about her nature, and about her future life. After a while of silence, she stood up looking down at the floor. "Give me some time, that's all i need." He nodded understanding and she saw something in his eyes that made him look like a father for a seconde instead of only an alpha. She put on her earrings and her hair turned back to grey and she walked out of the room. The werewolves guarding the door moved out of the way giving her space and looking down in respect, Kevin looked up and he stood up dusting off his pants, he climbed the stairs before Bella and waited for her up there. As she followed he looked at her. "I'm not leaving without an explination."
