Zodiac
Zodiac was bouncing in the back seat of her car, clutching her brand new wand, burning with excitement and trepidation. She was a witch and she was going to a school to learn magic. It was all so surreal, like a lucid dream. She couldn't wait. Her parents had their reservations sending her to Hogwarts, a school they had never heard of and that didn't show up on google maps, but after a quick chat with the Hogwarts Muggleborn helpline, they accepted. Her life had taken a crazy turn when she received her letter on her 11th birthday. It was already pretty whack but now it was off the rails. Weird things always seemed to happen around her throughout her childhood but it could always be chalked up to 'Oh, you know, it's Zo, what did you expect? Normal?' That word wasn't in her vocabulary.
Viridisthea
Viridisthea's mother was a busy woman, but her daughter needed to get to the train station on time, their familly had a reputation to uphold. They were out of floo powder so she took her using side-along apparition. As soon as Viridisthea had entered the train station, her mother left with a curt "Have a good year." Viridis sighed and took off towards platform 9 3/4.Her mother was an 'alternate medicine' maker. She had gotten an O in potions and she expected Viridis to get the same. She hardly ever saw her father, he was always away on 'important magical business' but whatever he was doing was raking in the galleons.
CJ
CJ gawked at the Hogwarts Express. She had seen a couple of pictures of it on her brother's phone but it obviously hadn't captured it's full magic. The train was long and scarlet, with the sparkling gold Hogwarts crest emblazoned on it.
"Put your trunk in the hold," said her older brother Ben, who was starting his second year. He demonstrated with his own.
"Thanks," said CJ.
Parents were starting to wave at their children, who were filling onto the train,
CJ and Ben followed suit."I hope I'm in Gryffindor," she told Ben as they shuffled down the train.
"Don't worry," he chuckled, "you will be,"
"Go and sit with your mates," said CJ.
"Ceej, I really don't mind sitting with you-"
"Nah, go on," She told him. "I'll find some friends. Besides. I don't want to be the loser who sits with her brother,"
"I'll have you know it would be considered an honour to sit next to me," said Ben, before placing a few gold coins in her hands. "Have a few Galleons for sweets."
CJ smiled.
"See ya,"
Isaac
Isaac had woken up at 6 o'clock that morning, his parents having hammered punctuality and respect into him his whole life. He had packed everything meticulously, his books, his robes, the hair care set his father had insisted he bring for his long hair, always pulled into a tight ponytail, and all his magical odds and ends.
He went into the bathroom and brushed the knots out of his long green hair. He never liked looking at himself in the mirror, having to see his genetic defect staring right back at him. But his parents had always told him that outward appearances were of the upmost importance for a respectable Pureblood. He tried to avoid looking at his eyes as he tied his hair up with a black ribbon, lest he saw his blue right eye.
