Soon October rolled around, and the warmish September disintegrated, a sharpish chill settling over Hogwarts.

"I miss the heat," May moaned, pulling her grey jumper on. "It's Baltic now,"
Hogwarts castle was somewhat rebound for being cold. Its huge open halls and drafty courtyards encouraged the students to wear their black cloaks from October to April.

"Could be worse," said Isaac, "you could be on fire,"
May huffed as they walked into Muggle studies. That class was perfect: the only students were Isaac, May, CJ, Zodiac, Styx, Mindy, Talia, Dove and Sophex.

Sophex and Mindy were already there. They sat next to each other, playing a game of Explosive Cheat, or, as CJ called it, boom bullshit.

Wednesday ran into the room.

"Sorry all. Meeting overran," she said, setting down her things. "How were your weekends?"

"Well, we were going to go to Hogsmeade on Saturday, but somebody got us lost on the way," Zodiac shot a look at CJ.

"How was I supposed to now the tunnel had been blocked up?" She exclaimed.

"We should've just gone the normal way," Said May.

"Children, Children, stop fighting over something I should give you a detention over. Take out your books,"

The group took their blue exercise books out of their bags, followed by their pens and, in Viridithea's case, green ink.

"What? It's my trademark. I have to keep up my brand,"

"Okay, so... write a paragraph on what you think make Muggle traffic lights work,"

"Students! Settle down, now, I have an announcement to make!" Shouted McGonagall over the loud lunch rumble the pupils made. There was something about her voice that made them all shut up without question, a feat that almost no other Professor had mastered. "The early Quidditch season starts this weekend, so team captains are holding the try-outs over the course of this week. Gryffindor, you're after school today, Hufflepuff is Wednesday, Ravenclaw Thursday and Slytherin, you're lunchtime on Friday,"

"Ooh, interesting," Isaac whispered.
The students returned to their casual rumble.

"I'm going for Chaser again this year," CJ told them. "Last season was epic,"

"It would be fun, but I'd rather focus on my studies this year. Really buckle down," said Viridisthea.

"If you 'buckle down' any further you'll end up with your face squished into the dirt. And doggy doo" said May.

"Disgustang," said CJ.
