~Your POV~

After moments of silence, you cleared your throat, moving your fingers softly but awkwardly. "So.. You talk.." you murmured softly, but he didn't bother to look at you.

I looked up at the other workers. Some bit their lip and looked at me in a 'good luck with this one' look. I looked back at the wolf, then looked away. I stared at him a bit.. Those golden eyes were full of anger, that's all he's been showing. But I felt like I could see a tint of fear, confusion and sadness in it. I couldn't tell if this human-wolf guy was defensive or just angry. Staring at him, I flinched when I felt a hand land on my shoulder. I ripped my gaze and attention away from the man and towards the person.

Zachary stood there, one hand on my shoulder and the other one's fingers pushing through his beautiful gray locks as he looked at the man. "Ah, he's clean." he smiled.

The man glared at Zachary, his white locks softly bouncing with the soft turn of his head, his sun-like eyes narrowing. I bit my lip softly. "Um- Yeah, he can talk too." I mentioned a bit quietly. Zachary looked down at me and then at the man. "What, like fluently?" He asked. I looked at him, "Kinda seems like it, he's only said a sentenc-" "I can speak English, have your fucking answer?" The wolf cut me off, making me flinch a bit. He growled and looked away.

Zachary's eyes widened gently, "Not very mannerly, I see." He said sarcastically. The wolf rolled his eyes "Oh, boo hoo." he murmured to himself. Zachary rose an eyebrow and looked down at me. "Are you sure you're ready to take care of him?" He asked.

I felt a small pang of thought for a moment, but I wasn't going to give up easily, I smiled to myself. "I can manage. It'll be an experience." I say happily. Zachary smiled at my optimism for this challenge, and so did other friends of mine.

I felt happy and confident for this,
But was I really up for this...?

After hours of shots, check ups, and medications, the wolf man was pretty much all set up when it came to health, but the personality was something hard to fix. Which is why this was assigned to me, cause I change animals when they go from ravaging beasts to loving cute balls of love. But with an actual human being..?

It'll be difficult, but I wanna try everything. I watched as the man sat in the giant cage, I still had about twenty minutes til me, and the man, head home.
We were alone in the room, he was sitting on the ground, resting against the bars, his arms on his knees lazily. I was outside the cage, sitting on a chair and holding a clipboard with my paper and pen.
I decided to ask him some questions before we left, maybe get to know him and why he's like... This.

"So! We have abouuut-" I looked down at my watch and looked back at the man, who was looking at me lazily and apathetically. "twenty minutes!" I finished, smiling warmly. "Might as well ask a few questions before we both head home." I said, looking down at my clipboard.

The man didn't let out a single sound, he just looked at me with an exhausted and annoyed look.
I cleared my throat, "So, um- how do you know English?" I asked.

He rose a brow at me. "I learned it." He answered sarcastically. Oh, this attitude...
I sighed and gave a soft tilt of my head. "Alright, uh, h-how did the ears and tail happen?" I asked a bit hesitantly.
He blinked softly. "Next question." He replied calmly. I was a bit confused, was it a private subject? I needed to get this out of him, it's not everyday when you see a human with actual wolf ears and tail.
But for now, I'll respect what he wanted. I breathed in a bit. "Ok, how did you end up in the woods?" I asked politely, trying to keep a soft tone to not provoke him in anyway.

The man looked at me, giving a soft tilt of his head. "Do you want a biography or something?" He asked, his tone clear with slight annoyance.
I felt my face flush a bit, he was right, for hardly his first day I was getting way into detail. I looked down and fiddled with my pencil. "Um, sorry." I said softly. After a moment of silence, I cleared my throat. "We should head home." I said, putting my clipboard down and grabbing my bag.

I looked over at the desk, seeing the cage keys. I felt a bit hesitant taking home this man, but you knew you had to do it. I grabbed the keys and walked to the cage, opening the door and looking at the man.

I grabbed the leash they provided me with, as he got up, looking down at me. I smiled softly. "U-Um, they gave my this leash to make sure you don't run off so-" I began putting the leash on, "No running away, ok?" I smiled softly, looking up at him, noticing the closeness and taking a step back. He looked at me, his gaze unreadable, "No promises." He replied. I smiled and started walking away with the leash in my hand.

We entered the lobby room, and out of reflexes, I looked over at Cecelia. The blue eyed girl looked up at me and the man, her eyes widened with surprise. "Ah! Y/N. A-And,.." She trailed off, not knowing the name of the man, which he didn't seem to care since he just looked at both me and Cecelia apathetically. I smiled warmly. "Don't worry, I don't know his name either." I said in reassurance. Cecelia glanced at you and then at the man again, nodding softly. "Alright.. Um, have a good night you two!" She smiled brightly, still a little bit nervous.

I smiled, "You too!" I replied, turning and walking through the doors, looking outside and breathing in and out, enjoying the fresh air, after hours of being inside. I opened my eyes and looked at the sky, giving a soft stretch.
The man followed me outside, looking at the sky for a moment, the way the beautiful purple, orange and yellow mixed. He then looked down at me and rolled his eyes, looking away. "Today." He said, getting impatient.

I glared at him and rolled my eyes. "Alright, alright, follow me." I said, leading him to my car. He looked at me. "Do I have a choice?" He asked sarcastically. I grinned evilly. "Nope~" I replied.

I took him to my car, and as we both went inside, I drove him, but he seemed to be interested in the drive, other than that, not much spoken.

After leaving the car, I lead him to my house, smiling at him softly. "Were here!" I grinned, unlocking and opening the door and letting us both walk in. I let go of the leash at this point and closed the door, locking it.

I turned to him to see him looking around my house in slight interest, but I noticed the leash was still on him. I leaned up and grabbed the lock of the leash, which surprised him as he flinched and looked down at me.
I tried to undo the leash, and then finally pulled it off his collar. "There we go! You should feel more comfortable now." I chirped with a smile.
He eyed me with an unreadable expression, I wish I could understand what it meant but I had no idea what was going on inside his head.
I inhaled awkwardly. "So! Are you hungry?" I asked, smiling warmly. "You didn't eat anything they offered you at the rescue station, you have to be hungry." I said with a 'matter of fact' tone. I walked into the kitchen as he followed me, "I'm not hungry." he said simply. I sighed and turned to him. "Fine, I won't force you right now, but tomorrow you will eat something." I smirked.

His little wolf ears perked, as he looked around again. "So what do you do all alone?" I thought about his question. "U-Um, well sometimes I go on my phone and watch TV," I replied. He rose a brow. "So no friends or family to live with?" He asked softly. I looked away. "No.." I replied. He tilted his head. "Not in love?" I blushed at that question, glaring at him. "Hey, I'm the one supposed to be asking the questions here." I defended, as he rolled his eyes. "You won't get anything out of me." He said simply, then turned and walked out of the kitchen, starting to walk upstairs. I watched him, following him.

"Oh come on, don't be like that, they don't have to be big questions. We can start by your favorite color?" I smiled childishly, once he was at the top, he looked around. "Not important." He replied, then walked into my room. My eyes widened, following him."Uh, then what's your favorite season?" I asked. He then sat on my bed and looked around my messy room. "Again, not important." He answered. I sighed, a bit annoyed. "Can I at least have your name?" I asked, but he already laid in my bed and closed his golden eyes. I sighed, beginning to close the door.

But as I was closing it, I heard his silky voice. "Xander."
I blinked softly and looked over at the man, seeing his eyes still closed. I hesitated, but then closed the door, inhaling.
Xander... That's his name? I blinked to myself, then decided to call it a day and start investigating him tomorrow. I walked downstairs and laid on my couch, still having my work clothes on so I don't annoy 'Xander' by choosing out my pajamas. I rested on my couch, covering myself with a blanket, closing my eyes and thinking about things to do tomorrow, especially when I have Xander on my hands.

He's very mysterious, he is definitely hiding billions of secrets behind those sun like eyes.
I sighed, then slowly felt my eyes get heavy until I finally fell asleep.
