~Your POV~

"Woof!"

Barked the overly happy puppy. The ecstatic baby animal had it's tongue out of his mouth, panting and whimpering, jumping up and trying to get into my warm embrace again, running all over the grass in the beautiful small field.

I gave a gentle giggle of happiness and picked up the injured, but now healing puppy. The poor thing has been through a lot by his previous owners, abuse, lack of water, lack of food, lack of movement. The baby animal was fed horrible things and had no choice but to drink liquor.

But luckily, I've found him just before things got worse. I saved him and along with my friends, have been helping him heal.

That's what I do, in fact.
I'm Y/N L/N, I work for helping animals of all breeds and of all situations. I'm one the best in the animal rescue group, definitely not bragging, but I don't do this job for money only, I love animals and I want to save them.
My bosses were and are still fond of my selfless actions, which means I could probably get promoted soon. As much as I work and try, they still somehow wait on giving that new rank to me.

I was brought back to reality when I felt a wet lick on my cheek, laughing and placing the puppy down. "Hey!~" I smiled and leaned down to the small dog, ruffling his soft brown fur, as he put his paws on my legs excitedly.
I grinned. "Wait, you don't have a name yet." I realized. The dog, of course, didn't understand, leaning up and licking all over my face. I laughed and wiped my face. "How about Kisses?~" I asked, hugging him.
I really shouldn't be naming him, he was up for adoption anyway, his new owners should pick out his name.

I was interrupted by the sound of my watch go off, which meant it was time to head home. I got up, sighing and smiling down at the puppy. "I'm afraid I have to go, Kisses. But no worries! I'll come back again tomorrow, ok?" I said and picked him up, walking inside her workplace, putting the puppy in his comfortable cage. I said bye and walked off.

Heading to the secretary, I went to one of my closest friends, Cecelia.
She was beautiful. She had a natural mix of red and brown shoulder length hair that mixed perfectly with her bright blue eyes. She had a small petite body, but her personality always made her seem bubbly and happy.
Cecelia ripped her eyes away from her computer to look at me. She smiled. "Hey Y/N!~ How's the puppy doing?" She asked. I smiled. "Childish as usual." I reply with a hint of amusement. Cecelia gave a giggle. "Awesome! Well, you should get home, you deserve a bit of rest." She said in a sort of motherly tone.
I sighed, looking around the room. The clean white tiles and the cream walls full of posters and pictures of animals all over.
"I guess. Well, I'm off then, see ya, Cecelia!" I chirp, leaving the building and looking at the sky outside.

The sun was lowering, the clouds were here and there of all sizes. A beautiful gradient from purple to yellow caught me off guard,
That is until,
"Wow, you're weird."
I turned my head to see another one of my friends, Zachary. He had handsome gray hair and blue eyes anyone could get lost in. He was around your age, fit and pretty lean.
He seemed to be looking at me staring at the view, smiling and tilting his head, his hair covering his eyes a bit, glowing with slight curiousity.

I smile at him and softly shove him. "Hey! How long were you standing here?" I asked, my face flushing in embarrassment.
He rolled his eyes "Enough to know to not get on your bad side." He said, voice full of sarcasm as he rubbed the area you hit on his arm.

I laughed and rolled my eyes. "C'mon, you big baby, get over it." I began to walk towards my car before it got too dark, but I could already tell Zachary was following me.
He chuckled deeply. His voice was always so attractive, and his laugh was even better. I couldn't help but to admit, that a guy who's this handsome, friendly and has a huge liking for animals is a dream come true, not that I like him or anything...
