Your POV
What the hell is wrong with me?
Xander obviously didn't mean it in that way, did he?
"Woof!" Said a needy puppy as he jumped on me and licked all over my face.
I broke back to reality and looked at the beagle puppy, smiling softly. "Kisses!~ Stop being so cute, you'll be the death of me~" I giggled, picking him up and hugging him, only to get him to bark and lick all over my face, making me laugh.
But again... I'm worried about Xander....
If I know Emily, she'll be all over his case until she gets what she wants. Which is Xander. But Xander doesn't give in that easily, does he?
He's really tough and stubborn, it took me a week to break him a bit, but he still acts kinda rude to me. Not as much as before, but not to a point where he could be just friendly with me, he still insults me here and there. But what if Emily could break him out of his hard shell easier than me?
Xander's tough, but I'm kinda weak, what if he's into girls who are strong and brave?
What if she's just a wonderful match for him and they'd actually be better with each other?
....
Why do I care so much?
I felt myself grow a bit hot...
Seriously, why do I care so much? Why should I care if Xander would be able to like Emily? Or if they actually become something? It's none of my business...
It's not like I like hi-
"Damn, you daydream a lot, don't you?" I heard that familiar voice from behind me.
I shot my head and looked behind me, seeing Zachary looking at me, smiling cutely with a tilted head.
I smiled and put Kisses down, who started running around like a mad-dog. I got up and dusted my pants, smiling warmly. "Hey Zachy~" I grinned at him.
Zachary smirked softly. "Don't give me that, what were you thinking about?" He asked, taking a step closer.
I smiled and blushed, but stood my ground, looking down, playing with the rim of my shirt, something I usually did out of habit. I looked back up at him, my eyes scanning his body a bit. He's really cute...
"Just unimportant business..~" I explained.Zachary didn't seem to buy it, but he didn't want to push it. He smiled warmly, before Kisses went to him and begged to be picked up by putting his paws on Zachary's legs.
Zachary looked down at the pup and picked him up, grinning softly. "Wow, he's beautiful. I remember when he first came in, all full of dirt and scratches..." He murmured, his blue eyes calmly moving from the pup to my gaze. "Speaking of that, how's he doing, he's not trying anything, is he?"
Oh, I knew who he meant by 'he', Xander.
I sighed, rubbing my arm a bit. "He's fine, and no, Zachary, he isn't trying anything." I said a bit sternly at the end, smirking at him and softly hitting his arm.Zachary gave a laugh, looking down at Kisses and looking back at me. "Just saying, he's wild, you never know what he's capable of." He smirked.
I inhaled, looking away. "I feel like it's the other way around... Xander is more human than me, Zach." I said, looking back at him.
Zachary looked at me in confusion, putting the puppy down. "Huh?" He asked, tilting his head.
I gripped both of my hands together, then let them go wiht a small sigh. "I have no idea... It feels like whatever I teach him, he already knows. He knew how to make a full course dinner. And I can't even make pancakes right. He knows... Everything." I explained.
Zachary blinked at me a couple of times, then rolled his eyes. "He's probably been born into a human family, who knows. At least this means you can let him go, let him live as a normal human." He explained.
I looked at Zachary, feeling a spark of anger hit me from his words for some reason... But I calmed down almost immediately after. "You're right, but... I don't know..." I murmured. I felt weird about Xander leaving. I don't know why, but I feel like I'll be lonely.
Zachary sighed and walked up to me, putting a hand on my arm and smiling warmly at me. "If you ever need to rant, I'm here, you can explain everything on Sunday." He winked, reminding me.
I smiled warmly and laughed a bit. "Alright~" I happily said. Zach gave me a reassuring smile. We got interrupted by someone walking in. "Hey guys, the birds haven't been fed yet. And they seem hungry." He explained. Zachary gave a small nod to him, then the man left.
Zachary looked at me and smiled warmly. "Well, we better feed those birds before they start eating each other." He joked and laughed, then went to the door, opening it for me.
I smiled warmly and laughed, then went with him to feed the birds.

I began walking out the building along with Zachary. We both were talking about the types of animals we used to care for before the conversation quickly faded.
We were both silent for a minute, before he broke the silence. "Ya know, Y/N, when I first met you, I didn't know that you'd be like this." He murmured, glancing at me.
I looked up at him, raising a brow and smirking. "What's that supposed to mean?" I asked sassily. He chuckled and put a hand on his neck lazily. "I don't... Know.. You're sweet and cute, you're just fun to be with. Whenever you're not around, everyone is just so.... Bored, especially me." He murmured, looking away.
I blinked a bit, pursing my lips and looking away. "I- Uhm." Wow, this is going fast.
Shouldn't I feel lovely dovey? Why don't I feel like that--
"That's really sweet, Zach, but I'm not that special." I smiled a bit, looking down and looking back up at him.
He smiled and rolled his eyes. "Of course you'll deny it. Just know that it's true." He reassured, making me smirk. "Sureeee it is." I said sarcastically.
Zachary gave me a heart warming smile. "Whatever floats your boat. You should be getting home, it's insanely cold." He said, obviously overreacting about the weather.
I laughed. "Try to get rid of me some more, Zachy~" I cooed, making him smirk and roll his eyes. "Just get out of here~" He laughed.
I grinned and went to my car, looking at him one last time. "Bye!" I said, then opened the door and went inside. I closed the door and started the car, and began riding home...
(sorry I've been inactive <3 school's a bit rough these days)
