"I.. I'm what!" The older blonde gasped "I don't know what kind of joke this is Danvers but as you know very well that isn't-" Cat starts . "She doesn't know" something that made no sense to Cat clicked for Alex,  a conversation she once had with her adoptive sisters aunt , about how kryptonians mated . Gender didn't matter , nor did biology , well not entirely.  When a kryptonian had found the one , their soul mate as it were and they were stable in their relationship,  something in the DNA of the kryptonian changes , they can make a baby using normal means but also , if that isn't possible then another method like saliva for instance can carry the genes necessary for a child to be made . It was so long ago Alex hadn't thought about it or she though Kara might of known but with Kara being only thirteen  when her planet exploded it makes sense she may not of known. "Well..." Alex explained how kryptonians worked to Cat and the older woman had to say she was mesmerized,  kara's spieces was so fascinating! They were so advanced and special . In some ways it made her love her wife more ."Wow , so ... I'm really going to have a baby?!" Cat's excitement reached a high she couldn't wait to tell Kara! She also wanted to scream at her wife ! How could she not mention this? Surely if anyone deserved to know it was Cat for crying out loud! Like Cat's was pregnant! She started crying , the day had been very emotional for her and what ever was holding her together had finally snapped. "Cat? I've  called Kara okay? She's on the way , don't worry" says Alex rubbing the older woman's back in a comforting manner . Cat couldn't think,  she was so confused and tired .very tired! The young reporter comes rushing in "CAT!" She exclaims being at her wife's side instantly "I'm so sorry ! I heard rumours on krypton about how mating worked but I never-" Kara says trying to find a way to apologise.  "Shhh my love,  it's okay I'm actually really excited,  we're going to have a baby dear!" Says Cat stroking her wife's hair playfully , "we're really doing this?" Kara says her face lighting up like a child's on Christmas morning. "Yes we are my dear , we are indeed " there was so much happiness in that moment , Kara thought marrying the best person in the galaxy would be the happiest moment of her life but having a child with the woman . That was another level of happy.  "You're still not off the hook , you know that right?" Cat says looking seriously at her wife . Kara pouts "but-" she starts . "No nothing will save you now karabear"  the older woman  says smiling wickedly . She tickles her wife mercilessly "nooo Cat!!" The hero squeals.  They both end up in a fit on giggles."let's get you home my beautiful wife " Kara says picking up her precious cargo and flying back to their home . Once she had settled a sleeping Cat down on their silky sheets , she ran round making sure the house was tidy , she didn't want Cat to worry about anything,  the last thing she need was stress and a messy house. After cleaning the house, making sure it was up to Cat's standards Kara ordered takeout,  cooking really wasn't her thing . Cat usually cooked for the both of them . She order enough food to feed an army , most of it was for her but if Cat woke up hungry she had food ready . She felt very accomplished , she may be new to the whole wife , mother to be thing but honestly she would say she had got the hang of it.  She was so excited. "Kara?" Says the groggy voice of the older woman across the hall "Yes my love ?" The young blonde asks coming into the room with a plate of popstickers. "Food!" The older blonde exclaims, acting much like Kara did around a meal . "Want me to get you a plate?" The hero asks looking down at her blanket bundled lover. "Hmm no thanks darling I'll get up, thank you sweetheart" the CEO gets up from the bed and stretches . "Come sit with me?" She says looking at the young reporter with as puppy dog eyes as she could get . Kara laughed "always my love,  anything you need " with that she pull her wife into an embrace "food" Cat murmers impatiently. Now Kara understood what living with a kryptonian must be like , it was so strange for Cat to be like this , it made the alien realise just how much her wife does for her. Anyone who has the nerve to say that Cat Grant was heartless was as ignorant as they come because when she wanted to be ,she was the kindest person alive. She was so sweet and kind and amazing. Kara felt so safe and secure around this woman it was unreal , she'd never expected to find love.  In a way it found her , when she needed it most , Cat had always seemed to be there when Kara needed her , the gratitude the younger blonde felt for her wife was indescribable. Cat was her one,  her life and now they were about to start a scary yet exciting new chapter in their story , she couldn't wait to see what was in store.
