'Police reports have came in, and no one knows exactly what happened. The child was found in his home surrounded by dead bodies, the little boy, 12, has been identified as-' The page on the holographic computer screen flipped to another news broadcast as the gray haired man continued to look through the reports. 'The boy states that he was asleep and had no idea what had happened, he said that he had a nightmare of a big fight and then woke up to the sound of the firefighters barging into the building. The firefighters have determined that there are survivors from this incident, but no one that we know of yet that live on the fourth floor have been found alive. This is Lisa Lavender of Vale News Network signing off, we'll have more on this story at-'

The man sighed and pushed his tiny glasses up his nose, he sighed and heard the same response from the woman behind him. The man looked at her with his brown eyes and her green colored eyes followed him, "We can't." She whispered.

He looked back to the screen, an image showed two burning apartment buildings with firetrucks and police surrounding the block. "You're right, we have to. We can't let this boy out into the world, not without the proper training."

"Listen to yourself Oz! We cannot! Look at what happened."

He sighed and began to print out papers, he grabbed the freshly printed sheets and began to write on them. "Exactly, and it will happen all his life if we don't help him, I'd rather it be here instead of Atlas."

She sighed, "What of his sister?"

"She hasn't been seen or heard from since the incident. Presumed dead, however police cannot find a body."

She shook her head as she adjusted her glasses, "Ozpin, I know you think we can help him, but it's best to leave things as they are."

"No...this will happen again and again, we have to give him the proper treatment and help to shape him into a-"

"Listen to yourself, you're acting just like James."

He sighed, "I-...I know what it's like to be alone, to have no family. In fact I'm all too familiar, and if you don't want to fine. But I will." He said pushing the paper towards her. She grabbed the pen and began to write.

OoO

An alarm surrounded the room and awoke the boy laying in his bed, he opened his forest green eyes and yawned. He reluctantly moved the covers off of his finely toned body, he had tan skin and a lean frame. His head had long black hair that looked messy yet somehow still good, he would definitely have to fine tune it though. He got up and stretched his back and arms as he walked into the bathroom to get ready, he used the restroom and began to brush his teeth.

After messing around with his hair for a couple of minutes he walked out of the master bathroom and into his white walled room before entering his huge closet. He grabbed black jeans and pulled them on, he then grabbed a blue hoodie and pulled it on top of a white tank top. Once he rearranged the sleeves to rest properly on his arms he pushed them up his forearms, he them grabbed his black boots and tied them up. He grabbed his bag on the way out of the room.

The boy had grown up on the outskirts of the continent, as far as you could get from Vale. He moved closer inland as he got older, up until the apartment incident. Of which people still blamed him for, even 5 years later.

He walked into the kitchen after walking down a long hallway, he appreciated his adoptive parents, but he did wish they were home more often. But that made for a great friendship between him and another boy, since no one could tell him not to have friends over he invited the older boy almost every week.

It wasn't like his parents left him since he was 12, they didn't start leaving until he was 14, and didn't let him stay home alone without a sitter until he insisted at 15.. Although he wouldn't admit it, he did so because of his hormones acting up in his teenage years, he enjoyed to have the house to himself when they did; which was still a common occurrence.
