The cafe was fairly empty, the patio was devoid of life besides Blake and Rayne. The inside had a few people ordering food and drinks, even a couple of job interviews were being held. Rayne was wearing his hoodie with nothing under it, and it was zipped down. However he still had his head covered by a beanie.

"Finally. I've been trying to get words out of you for days."

Blake sighed and looked down to her tea, she looked at her reflection in the liquid before looking back to Rayne's green eyes. "Rayne...you know about the White Fang, right?"

He nodded, "Of course. Bunch of Faunus that held peaceful protests for a few years, then they changed. Like a light, they went from holding signs and screaming to holding guns and shooting places up."

She took a sip and closed her eyes, "I was once a White Fang..." She waited to hear him belittle her. To tell her she was a freak, a terrorist, that she was no better than any other 'Filthy animal'. But it never came, she opened her eyes and looked up to see him with a blank look on his face. She had become familiar to his facial features, he would look dead as a doornail when he was happy, and like the Devil himself when he was mad. But she could see it in his eyes, green orbs swirling with curiosity instead of hate.

"Go on."

She blinked a couple of times before continuing, "I was one for most of my life actually. You could say I was born into it."

He tilted his head, "What, like...a family thing?"

"You could say that...Back then things were different. In the ashes of war the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between the Humans and the Faunus. Of course, despite being promised equality, Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still believed that we were lesser beings, so then the White Fang rose up to be the voice of our people." She made sure that he was following along and saw that he was, following her every movement, hanging off of every word. "And I was there. I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott."

He nodded as he began to drink more tea, making sure to pour in medicine that Blake had given him. "And I actually thought we were making a difference. But it was just youthful optimism. 5 years ago, our leader, stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly our peaceful protests were replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, stealing cargo from companies that used Faunus as slave labor. And the worst part was, it was working, we were finally being treated like equals..."

Rayne nodded solemnly, "Like when I told Jaune you have to fight fire with fire...to treat people how they treat you."

Blake nodded once more. "But not out of respect. Out of fear."

Rayne looked down into his cup of tea at memories of wearing a white hood, running around to get Cardin off of Jaune's back. It worked, and Jaune was no longer getting bullied, but Rayne would be lying if he said that was the way he wanted it to go. He didn't want Cardin to fear him, he wanted respect. Instead of Cardin being scared to touch Jaune, out of fear of being visited by the hood or have his dirty secrets out, he wanted Jaune to gain Cardin's respect.

"So," She said as she put her tea cup back on its plate, "I left. I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence. And instead I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am, a" criminal hiding in plain view. All with the help of a little black bow." She said as her ears wiggled underneath of the small accessory.

Rayne sighed, "You know we're your friends, right? You can tell us anything, I don't think any different of you." Blake looked down and sighed.

"Blaaaaake?" Ruby called as her and the rest of her team walked down the streets of Downtown Vale, "Raaaaayne?"
