"Take me through the night
Fall into the dark side
We don't need the light
We'll live on the dark side"

- Alan Walker (Darkside)

It was now noon. The pessimist and the optimist left the city, entering into an unknown forest beyond the modern technology. They walked along the pathway of the forest, eventually going away from it and traveling down a different way. The forest seemed large but untouched by human hands. There were no houses in sight, no buildings, and no alleyways.

It was peaceful walking through the woods at noon, but the morning was the optimist's favorite time. It was when the birds would sing, the sun would rise slowly over the trees and make pretty clouds. She loved the smell of dew in the morning, and the fresh wind coming in.

The pessimist was different. She preferred to walk around the woods at night time. It was when it was the most quiet. Everything was asleep, and she could walk on her own and enjoy the summer night air. She loved the darkness the night brings, and looking up at the moon and stars. It is when she feels the most alive.

But whichever time either of the girls preferred, it didn't matter. Because it was noon.

The optimist had returned to her regular skipping, the hand mark visible on her face, with that continual smile on her face. The pessimist had her uncaring expression once again, her hands in her hoodie pockets as she walked on.

Both of them walked until they arrived at an old shack. At least, it looked old. It's walls showed to have cracks, and the wood was dulled a bit. A tiny garden of weeds surrounded one side of the shack, and a single patch of gravel was in front of it. Trees surrounded the house only leaving a large enough opening and clearing for you to get into the house.

The optimist and pessimist walked to the door of the house, only to be stopped by a sudden voice. "Finally back, huh?"the voice asked.

The two girls turned to the owner of the voice. It was yet another girl, about their age, except she seemed to be a bit different somehow. She had a petite body shape, and she seemed very pretty. She had long brown hair that reached to her knees and matching dark brown eyes. Her skin was porcelain. She wore a white dress along with high socks, no shoes to be seen on her feet.

She smirked at them a tad, her arms crossed as she leaned against the tree,"Took you long enough!"she said. The pessimist glared,"How about you go out next time, huh Briar?"was all she said before continuing to walk into the shack. The girl named Briar simply rolled her eyes,"Moody as always Mallory."she remarked.

The optimist looked at Briar, smiling and giving her a excited wave,"Hey, Briar!"she beamed.

Briar gave her a small smile, waving in return,"Hey, Lilith."she replied.

The optimist, now called Lilith, chuckled and followed the pessimist, now called Mallory, into the shack.

They opened the door, walking in,"We're home."said Mallory, continuing to walk on and sat down on the couch. She said this to only one person in particular, the only person in the shack, another teenage girl.

This girl was very different. Her body was a small, petite shape. Her hair a deep, royal purple that was tied up in a puffy bun with strands hanging from each side of her face. The white of her eyes were strangely black, her iris showing to be a yellowish-orange color. She has light tan skin color. Her clothing consisted of a mint colored sweater, ripped light gray shorts, and black sneakers.
