Chapter 4

A month or so later - Storm's POV

I watch everyone leave the guild with solo jobs and I look at Lucy. "What's going on?" I ask as I walk over next to her.

"I don't know." Lucy says to me.

"Well, strange, but I don't care, so long as there is actually peace in the guild for once." I say and Lucy sweat drops as I sit at a table.

"Storm! Go on a job!" Macou says running out of the guild and I snort as I pull out a book from my pouch.

"Hmm? What book is that?" Lucy asks me.

"The Magicians Nephew. I would be reading Tales of a Gutsy Ninja, but unfortunely, its at home." I say and Lucy nods.

"Well, you want to go on a job with me?" Lucy asks me.

I shrug. "Why not." I say and Cream pads over to us and sits in front of me.

"Guess what?" Cream asks me.

"What?" I ask her.

"I thought of something to try to get you back to Konoha, what if we reverse summon you to Mt. Okami and then Lady can summon you at Konoha?" Cream asks me.

"Cream, we tried every possible way." I say to her.

"Wait, why do your summons remember you but your village doesn't?" Lucy asks confused as she sits next to me.

I smirk. "Because my summons live in a different world than the Hidden Leaf." I say holding up two fingers to form a peace sign while sticking my tongue out.

"You seem more relaxed since joining the guild." Erza says to me.

"I do?" I ask.

"Yes." Erza says to me.

"I guess you haven't had any stressful responsibilities in a while." Lucy says to me.

"My responsibilities weren't that stressful." I say to her.

"Says your hair, its way more full and soft." Lucy says to me.

I sweat drop.

"And the bags under your eyes are completely gone and skin looks healthy." Erza says to me.

"That's probably because I have a better bed, no one is coming into my apartment through my balcony door, I'm not called in the early morning for a last minute A to S rank mission, and I'm not constantly having to live up to an expectation all the time." I say to them as Cream puts her head on my lap.

"Yeah, Shikaku was hard on you, but I think he meant well." Cream says to me.

I snort. "Yeah, and the lecture about me saving Lily's pup Jasper and abandoning my mission, I must have heard that lecture half a dozen times, I never heard the end of it from Tsunade and definitely not Dad, jeez, no wonder I was in bad shape, I didn't even have time to myself now that I think about it." I say and Erza smiles.

"Wait, you saved a wolf pup instead of finishing your mission?" Lucy asks me.

"Yeah." I say and Cream switches out with Jasper.

"STORM!" He yells and starts licking my face and starts sniffing me all over at well.

I laugh as he gets super excited. "Jasper, this is Lucy and Erza." I say as he calms down and he starts sniffing them.

"Such a cute puppy." Erza says petting his head and he sticks his snout in her face sniffing her.

"He's my wolf apprentice, I'm teaching him how to be Alpha on Mt. Okami." I say and Erza and Lucy nod.
