Chapter 10

The Next Morning - Storm's POV

I sit next to Gramps who is talking to someone.

"Storm, this is Mavis, she's Fairy Tails first master, she was also known as the Fairy Tactition." Gramps says to me.

I nod to her with a smile. "Its a pleasure to meet you." I say to her.

"I heard your excellent in coming up with strategies, we'll have to go over them some time soon." Mavis says to me with wide eyes full if excitement.

"Your a strategist too and my strategies are really basic, yours probably outshine my any day." I say to her with a smile.

"Nonsense, you look like a smart girl." Mavis says to me.

"How about after the games for today are done, we play a round of Shogi?" I ask her.

"Shogi?" Mavis asks me while the guild is confused.

"Its a board game from my old home, me and brother would play it whenever we got the chance, its also how we come up with strategies depending on how many people were going on a mission with us." I say to her and she nods.

"Makes sense, we'll play it together then." Mavis says to me with a smile.

The game for today is called Chariots and Natsu and Gajeel volunteer.

"Oh, those idiots." I say and Sting volunteers as well. "Well, it just proves, all Dragon Slayers are complete fools, you'd think after hearing the word chariots, they'd get the idea that its a vehicle." I say and Mavis nods in agreement.

The dragon slayers immediately get sick as the thing starts moving and I deadpan.

I watch them and Sting starts talking while I just raise an eyebrow.

"Storm doesn't seem to understand." Mavis guesses.

"Eh? Uh, oh, yeah, no, I understand what he's saying, I just don't get why." I say and Mavis looks at me confused.

"Why? Because he wants to." Mavis says to me.

"That's exactly what I don't get." I say and Mavis smiles while I'm just confused and lost. "Speaking up, whenever I did that to my aunt, I'd get hit on the head for sure." I say as I scratch the back of my neck.

After the race ends, I jump down and drag Natsu to the infirmory with Gajeel behind me.

I toss Natsu on one if the beds with ease and Porlyusica eyes me for a moment as I walk over to Wendy.

"You ok Wendy?" I ask her.

"I'll be fine, I just need to rest some more. That's all." Wendy says quietly and I giver her a closed eyed smile.

"Get better soon, the guild wants to see you on your feet again with energy." I say to her and she smiles at me.

"Alright, I'll get better soon, I promise." Wendy says to me with confidence.

I hold out my pinky. "You pinky promise?" I ask her.

"Yeah." Wendy says hooking her pinky with mine.

"Leave her alone, she needs her rest." Carla says to me annoyed.

"Interaction always helps boosts the patients happiness and helps them feel less lonely, sure having one person around helps, but by the looks of it, she barely talks to Wendy, talking to the patient makes them feel better on an emotional level." I say as Wendy goes back to resting while smiling. "See, she's smiling." I say and Carla looks at her then at me, shocked.
