Chapter 2

Keith carried Mace into his room after a couple of hours of "training" which was really playing and testing Mace's ability. Mace was "asleep" in Keith's arms, making a chirping noise every now and then.Once they were safe inside Keith's room, Mace got up and jumped to the floor while shifting. By the time he hit the floor, he was human again. "Man, Pidge is a heavy pigeon." He groaned, stretching his back. Keith chuckled. 'Yea, everything's good.'

Spoiler alert: NOTHING'S EVER GOOD!!!!

A couple months after that incident, everyone was used to Mace hanging around, and was annoyed when Lance was near because that meant Mace wasn't. Soon, they just told him to leave them alone. And Lance did, going to Keith instead. Keith never knew why Lance came to him. Whenever he asked, Lance just waved him off, shifted, and left again. Finally, Keith had enough and followed Lance in his human form. What he saw.... He never wished to see or hear again.

Keith saw Lance check on Shiro, but Shiro ignored him and kept reading. Lance nodded and left, Keith trailing after. Hunk was the same. Next was Pidge,  and boy did Pidge not like it. Pidge actually looked at Lance and told him to leave so harshly, Keith was taken aback, but Lance just left with his head down. Allura and Coran were after, Allura glared at Lance. Coran just seemed to pity Lance, saying they were busy and needed quiet. Allura finally got fed up with being nice and blew up at Lance. "LANCE!!! JUST LEAVE!!!! I NEED TO TEST MACE'S ABILITIES AND SEE IF HE CAN BE USED IN BATTLE!" Lance took a small step back and nodded, "alright princess, i'll leave." And that's what he did, Keith could only stare after in shock and fury. 'WHAT THE HECK  WAS THAT?!'

When Lance showed up in Mace form, it seemed to make everyone's days brighter as he made the same rounds he did in human form, but the paladin's attitude was MUCH different. Shiro pet Mace and laughed with him, as did Hunk. Pidge cooed and played with Mace, riding him around Green's hangar. When Mace stopped by Allura and Coran, they talked seriously about how Mace could be in battle. When Mace fell asleep, that's when Keith called the meeting.

All the castle's residents  showed up, confused. And seeing Keith death glare everyone on their way in,  well that didn't help either. Let the meeting commence.

A/N- IM SOOOO SORRY! I won't be able to post everyday like i want to, due to my conflicting schedule. Therefore, I'm going to post 1-2 chapters a week. I'll try to get them out Tuesdays and Wednesdays IF I CAN!! PLEASE DON'T HATE MEH!
