Chapter Twenty Two ~ The Reward

As we were flying back i found myself thinking back to that book, i'm sure Komatsu will lend it to me if i ask or better yet i could offer to translate it for him and get a good deal, yeah i'll do that but first the reward.

After a while we arrived back home, Shiro put down the bag containing Mellow Cola down carefully before letting Zebra and myself off then as usual flew into his cave "I don't think that big bag will fit through the door"i said and hummed thinking about it "So how do we get it in?"Zebra asked.

I thought about it and came up with something, "Hang here i thought of something"i said and ran inside getting as many supersized bottles as possible and then i started to fill them up, luckily i had just enough bottles "And done now help me get these to the freezer"i said picking up two of the bottles and carrying them to my basement where there's at least five giant freezers filled with food, putting the cola in one of the freezers totally filled up.

"With that done they can cool off while we get to the second part of the reward"i smiled turning to Zebra "I though you said you'd only give me half?"he asked smirking a bit, i blushed a bit "Well i did but i changed my mind"I said "Oh yeah, Komatsu invited us to a party in his restaurant tomorrow, but never mind that, today is all your reward"i smiled.

"Yeah? In other words i can do whatever i want?"Zebra asked smirking as he pulled me over, i yelped a bit and blushed even more "Yep, i'm all yours"i said, he chuckled a bit before leaning down and kissing me hungrily, i kissed back just as hungrily.

I smiled cuddling Zebra "That was amazing"i said, he chuckled a bit "Yeah"he said, then we just cuddled for a bit before his stomach growled breaking the comfy silence, i giggled a bit "Wash up i'll make dinner"i smiled kissing him as i got up and put on some pajamas before going to the kitchen and getting to cooking.

The next day Zebra and i flew on Shiro headed to the Gourmet Hotel Komatsu works at, i'll admit i was in a quite a happy mood since this morning Zebra and i had a little fun, yeah let's just call it that, anyway arriving there Shiro let us down before perching himself on the roof.

With that Zebra and i met up with Toriko before walking in, once in as i expected Zebra scared off the people there, my joyous mood ignored their terrified gasp "Sure has gotten busy in here" Zebra said grinning "Yeah because of you"Toriko said.

"Welcome! We have been expecting you"Komatsu said "To celebrate the capture of Mellow Cola i've prepared the best cooking i could muster!"he said a smile on his face "Hey! Don't get cocky kid you'll need a hundreds years to beat Ao before you can go bragging"Zebra said, I giggled a bit "Don't take it that badly Komatsu, really the only thing that separates me and you as chefs is experience"i said.

"Thank you so much Ao-san, i hope you'll enjoy my cooking too"Komatsu said grinning "Now let's hurry up and start the party! Where's the party hall?!"Zebra yelled walking off, i giggled again "You seem to be in good spirits, both of you actually"Toriko said "Yeah? I guess we are"i simply said and smiled before following Zebra.

But then Zebra ran back and picked a fight with Toriko probably hearing something he said, again i just giggled i really was in a good mood today, anyway i went over and stopped the two from fighting and then headed to the restaurant area where Komatsu had prepared a huge feast.

"Well then, to Mellow Cola"Toriko said raising a glass "To Mellow Cola"Zebra and i said and toasted the mugs "Cheers!" after chugging down the glass we three began eating, i was surprised by how good everything was, maybe Komatsu was a better chef then i thought oh well i'm in too good of a mood to let anything like that bum me out.

Anyway while i kept my eating to a more moderate rate i giggled watching Toriko and Zebra devour everything on the table in minutes "That was great Komatsu, maybe you're a better chef then i thought"i said smiling at him "Really? Thank you so much Ao-san"the little man said utterly beaming with happiness.

Then Mansam and two others from top brass came and took the dried up Nitro i had cut up, Komatsu had been keeping it cause Zebra said he wanted to eat it, the reason why i didn't keep it and cook it well for one it's creepy as hell and two i don't think Nitro are all that edible.

Once the others were out i went over to them "Ray-san it's been a while!"i said greeting the director of the IGO defence bureau "Indeed miss Ao, a pleasure as always"he said bowing "You're always so formal"i laughed a bit waving it off "Anyway did papa send you?"i asked, the man nodded "He did, he wasn't surprised you were responsible in cutting it down nor that you didn't keep it" he said.

Then Zebra walked up and started picking a fight but i put a quick stop to it "Well if that's all it's being held in the kitchen right Komatsu?"i asked turning to the little man "Huh? Oh, yes"he nodded, "Hold on chief, Ao told us about the Nitro when she cut that ancient one down but you're still hiding something aren't you?"Zebra asked.

"The Gourmet Corp is involved, the Nitro instinctively hunt for the best ingredients they know how to get to GOD"Mansam said, now even i was surprised papa hasn't told me anything about this "The boss of Gourmet Corp Midora is using food from all over the world to get close to the Nitro"Mansam said, i recalled back to the one i met on my first time out in the Gourmet World, yes i actually went there for a year or so just to test the waters, anyway.

I had just happened to run into one and managed to befriend them despite their ferocity, anyway "You can be sure that the Gourmet Corps is already using the Nitro and progressing with some plan"Mansam said "Actually you can't be sure, for all we know the Gourmet Corps are still gathering ingredients, i don't know all the details since apparently papa has kept me in the dark about this"i said crossing my arms.

"But from what i gathered and what my gut is telling me, Gourmet Corp doesn't have a Nitro or at the very least haven't found GOD, judging from what i've seen they would keep GOD to themselves if they get a hold of it, so all we need to do is double no quadruple our efforts in getting GOD first"i finished off.

"In other words Coco, Sunny, Zebra and i need to speed up our training and finish it as soon as possible, so we can get GOD and share it with everyone"Toriko said, i turned to him and nodded "Pretty much, yeah"
