Chapter Fifteen ~ Zebra and Ao on the hunt

~Ao~

"Hey Ao!"i heard from the distance and looked over to see Toriko waving as he walked over with Komatsu next to him "Oh hey Toriko what brings you to my neck of the woods?"i asked once he got close enough so i didn't have to yell.

"Just thought you'd like a little snack"Toriko said showing a container that held Ozone Grass inside "So you finally started training"i said grabbing the container "How'd you know?"Toriko asked giving that confused look of his "It's the only reason why you would have Ozone Grass, i bet Coco and Sunny are training too, seems you finally got serious about going to the Gourmet World if papa has you and the others on a fetching quest"i said taking the leaf out and eating it whole.

"So is this the training you went through?" Toriko asked, i nodded "Yep, thanks for the snack though, if that's all you may go now"i smiled giving the empty container back "Well i wanted to ask if you think i'm ready for the Gourmet World?"Toriko asked taking the container back.

I hummed and looked him over "Not by a long shot"i said as bluntly as possible "But i-"Toriko went to say but i cut him off "No but's about it mister, you four are still a long way from even being able to stand in that place, well maybe Zebra can but that's cause he's freakishly strong even among you kings"i said.

Toriko sighed slumping down "Okay if you say so"he muttered but i could tell he still planned to go even though he was far from ready, i sighed no matter what i said he'd probably still go "Well anyway since you got nothing else you should just go already"i said "Yeah yeah"Toriko muttered shambling away, i sighed again but now that i know the others are finishing up their training maybe Zebra will be motivated enough to train too.

With that in mind i called Shiro and hopped on his head holding onto some rope i tied to his horns as he flew off, i went to the prison and ran past the receptionist and the warden excited to tell Zebra, "Zebra!"i called stopping in front of his cell "You seem excited"he said "I am Toriko and the others finally decided to man up and finish their training to enter the Gourmet World"i said, that got his attention as i hoped, he walked over to the bars "Well what are you waiting for? Get me out so we can catch up"he said.

"Okay!"i smiled and did just that letting him out, he ran off the second the door opened i caught up as we ran outside the prison "There's no way i'm letting those three beat me to the Gourmet World"he said "Don't you worry Zebra i've already done this training so i know the fastest way to finish it"i said grinning.

Zebra grinned back "Perfect, lead the way Ao"he said "Right"i smiled nodding and got on Shiro with Zebra hopping on behind me and grabbing onto the rope trapping me in his arms, i blushed and smiled "Let's move Shiro"I said, the dragon roared taking off and flying off.

I travelled around with Zebra getting the Ozone Grass and many other ingredients for the rest of the day, at the end of the day Shiro flew us back home"We were able to get a lot off the list today, at this rate you'll definitely be the first to finish of the others"i smiled looking at the list.

I got one from Papa after stopping by his place, anyway Zebra nodded "That's cause i have such a great partner"he said ruffling my hair, i giggled a bit blushing "Thank you"i said smiling, he smiled back at me, i was so lucky to see this sweeter side of him, he always puts on that though guy act around others.

"You passed the jail"Zebra commented "Well since we're hunting together again i thought we could live together too"i said blushing "I mean-"i was cut off "It's okay, that place was getting boring anyway, besides your cooking is way better then that creepy warden's"he said, i smiled blushing some more "Okay"i nodded.

With that we soon arrived, Shiro landed letting us off before he flew into his cave, Zebra was looking at my house, it wasn't all that much just you're average traditional Japanese house with sliding doors and a garden in the courtyard, "Still a sucker for the traditional huh?"Zebra asked crossing his arms glancing at me.

I giggled a bit "You know it"i smiled going to the door and opening it "Well don't just stand there come on in"i said letting Zebra in as i walked in myself kicking my shoes off at the entrance before skipping to the kitchen "You're welcome to explore i'm gonna cook some dinner!"i called back to Zebra.

After taking my boots off i watched Ao skip to the kitchen, i get the feeling she's happier then she's ever been, that's good i could hear her humming as i explored her house, well i guess it's our house now since i agreed to stay here.

"Toriko will probably come visit, he'll need you to catch Mellow Cola"she said, as said before i could hear her from the kitchen i smirked a bit finding her room and going through her stuff "Mellow Cola huh? Yeah it should be perfect"i muttered to myself.

I found a secret compartment in one of the drawers in Ao's room, ripping it open i felt shock, she really is perfect for me with taste like that, i though before putting the lid back and cleaning up everything before i continued exploring.

"Zebra dinner!"Ao called after a while, i had finished exploring the house and was just relaxing at the garden when she called, i smiled i wonder what she prepared, walking over to the kitchen i sat at the table where Ao had set up a whole feast with the ingredients we had gathered.

"Itadakimasu!" i called and looking over to Zebra i giggled a bit, he was already eating and leaving nothing on the plate, anyway with that i began eating too "Seconds!"Zebra called after a while "Right" i nodded and served him more food, i smiled as i continued to eat this is too good to be real, eating with Zebra like we're an actual couple.
