Chapter Thirty Seven ~ Area 8

A frog showed up saying he came to meet us on Daruma Hermits orders "What does that senile old man of Bewitching Food World want?Did he find some tasty ingredient for me to eat or something?"Zebra wondered "Ugh i bet that pervert just heard i'm in the Gourmet World again" i said sweatdropping, Zebra grumbled growling "He's dead meat if he tries anything"he said.

"Come to think of it you borrowed his horse as well, if i recall Zebra"Coco said and Zebra nodded, "The bewitching food world is where Brunch-san lives right? It'll be great to see him after so long"Komatsu said but really just wanted to try the food there anyway we took Mappy's guide offer and headed to the Bewitching Food World.

We came across a footprint rather hove print of Herak the king of area eight, Mappy told the others a little more about the eight kings but i already knew about them so i didn't pay much attention anyway after that as we were crossing the Golden Swamp some Iron Clouds came down and an Iron Foot started to come down raining like lightning.

We went inside the melon octopus or Octo-chan as Komatsu and i like to call it, Mappy told us about the maze the gold swamp lead into but with Komatsu's food luck and everyone's other senses we made it out, as it started raining the boys decided to take a bath, i smirked and decided to join them.

"Ao-san!"Komatsu yelped seeing me walk into the bathroom wrapped in a towel, i giggled a bit as he went to cover himself though the others did not "No need to be shy Komatsu, it's nothing i haven't seen before"i said.

"But uhm aren't you embarrassed?"Komatsu asked "Why should i? i'm beautiful, besides Zebra and i share a shower sometimes anyway"i said dropping my towel and joining Zebra in the shower, Zebra smirked and closed the curtain i giggled a bit and with that we teased each other while cleaning up.

Later we had a small dinner party before going back out as the Bewitching Food World came into view, they shot up some creepy fireworks as to welcome us, i don't know though something about that just seemed wrong to me, shrugging it off we walked into the cave that lead to the village on the other side of this mountainous barrier, as we were walking some Eyemuds showed up.

Something was just very unsettling to me about all of this, though that was the point of this place with everything being super creepy and all that, it's mostly for show though, i hope, anyway we made it out of the cave and there were some people welcoming us at the entrance, anyway walking through the town the others went around the place checking out everything.

I stuck close to Zebra as we followed them around through some shops eventually going to a bar, the boys were getting hopelessly plastered while i stayed away from any alcohol with a ten foot pole "I feel like we're forgetting something"i muttered as the others decided to go ahead and leave when Brunch showed up and lead us to his restaurant.

Brunch offered the boys some tea to sober them up, i had some too though i wasn't drunk i just like tea and this one was a tasty one too, as the others chatted i mostly just sipped the tea and listened to their chat, i didn't have anything to add to it so i just stayed quiet.

Anyway apparently the Daruma Hermit was in bad health and a physician from the human world was looking after him, then Mappy came running in yelling about the old man, we followed the frog out and to the Kappa Hot Spring, apparently it was a false alarm though the old man had just peeked into the female bath, i sweatdropped as did the others "Is every old man perverted?"i muttered.

The person taking care of the old man was the Gourmet Surgeon Atashino, spotting me she walked over "I'm sorry i wasn't able to help your father"she said "Don't worry about it, i've moved on from it and you should too"i said waving it off, she nodded "Also you should be more careful about what you eat while pregnant"she said, i giggled a bit "Figures you'd notice right away, not to worry i know what i can and can't eat"i said.

"So she was a member of 0th biotope and also a part of the group Ichiryuu formed to target Acacia's full course a year and a half ago?"Coco asked, i nodded papa had left me a letter telling me everything he had been hiding "So you survived?"Coco asked Atashino "I was not the only one, that one was saved"she said and Melk the First showed up.

He said something but it was too quiet "He said he'll tell you what happened a year and a half ago and how to capture Acacia's salad AIR"Zebra said hearing what Melk said, after Melk explained what had happened we decided to split up, Brunch Zebra and i went one way and the others went their own ways too "Why are you helping anyway Zebra?"Brunch asked.

Zebra explained he listened in on some female darumas for the old pervert in exchange for the old man giving Zebra the ingredient to his full course, Zebra told me about this right after the fact "But seriously what's with people with the title Hermit and being perverted?"Zebra wondered.

"Dunno, hey there it is"Brunch said "It's not just hermits though, in my experience it seems every old man is perverted especially the ugly type, you know short with a beer gut and hair covering every inch, seriously disgusting though that type is more likely to not settle for just a peek unlike the hermit type"i said, Zebra huffed crossing his arms "True"he muttered.

We reached the hill with different sized Meteor Rain was constantly falling down "Makes air raids look cute in comparison"Zebra muttered "Man our route is definitely the hardest, but why do i gotta team up with you Zebra, this sucks fer real"Brunch said. 

"Took the words right out of my mouth moron"Zebra said "Now now you two, at least try to get a long this will be done that much faster if you two work together"i said, the two just grumbled but seemed to agree they needed to work together on this one, though i'll still keep an eye on them.
