EIGHT DAYS AFTER ; 2008
Dan rolled over with a groan, his head pounding and his knees still slightly weak. He brushed the blankets off his thigh's only to find himself only in his briefs and a very long black t-shirt with the sprawled out white letters, My Chemical Romance. He was wearing Phil's shirt, he had seen him wear it many times before paired with those ripped black jeans that Dan found particularly attractive.
His feet hit the squishy carpeted floor, his knee's shook as he tried to stand. All of the blood rushed to his head as he suddenly saw black smudged fold over his eyes.
"Phil!?" He shrieked, lunging for the soft painted grey wall as he buckled for the floor. The black fabric washed over his thighs and covered the honey skin just as Phil ducked into the room, his eyes wide with fear.
"Baby, what happened?" He rushed over, grabbing Dan by the waist and slowly helping him up.
"My head hurts, what happened? I don't- I don't remember anything." Dan finally looked around the room, taking in the golden framed painting and the dusty mirror tucked in the small corner of the room.
"Let's sit down," Phil dragged Dan down to the baby blue itchy covers, letting his legs have a break. "We got into a fight and I ended up choking you against the wall. Your head hurts from not being able to breathe and your legs just haven't been used in a while."
"How long was I out for?"
"About ten hours." Phil said, counting down the hours of the road trip plus how long Daniel was asleep for.
"Where are we?"
"A couple hours away from Manchester in a small motel."
"Why are we here?" Dan asked, Phil let out a long exaggerated sign as he stood up, his knee popping on contact.
"Because we killed Chris and we need to hide."
"If we run away it will look more suspicious."
"Cool, we'll be the next Bonnie and Clyde."
"I liked Harley Quinn and the Joker better." Dan pouted, amusement glazed over his eyes as he smiled up at the older boy, his arms crossed around his chest.
"Besides," Phil started pacing again, Daniel nearly rolled his eyes. "It just looks like Chris ran away because we burned his body and the playground."
"How is it going to look like Chris ran away?"
"Before we left Manchester, I stopped at his house and grabbed his credit card, I'm paying for everything with his money so if anyone looks into it, it'll just look like Chris ran away and was too stupid to not use credit. Plus, I took his phone and wallet, no car keys though, they can trace the license back to us. Also, we need a new license for your father's car, if the police get involved were done with one click on a computer."
"You have all of this planned out, huh?" Daniel smirked, scanning the room for his bag of clothes. He barley remembers Phil running upstairs and grabbing his clothes, there had to be his jeans somewhere.
Phil watched as Dan rose to his feet, this time not falling against the wall, the younger boy dragged the trash bag out from the corner of the room and dug through for a pair of jeans, his hands gripping the white denim to clash with the white lettering of Phil's shirt.
"I've wanted to do this for a long time, just maybe not the murder part- but that's fun too."

They stayed for one night, Dan curling up right next to his old best friend like nothing had happened between the two. Phil was still wary about Daniel, he didn't know what his intentions were or how much his parents messed up his head. All Phil knew was that he needed to keep Daniel safe from everything, including himself.
They had tracked down a guy named E who let them buy a license plate for 156 pounds. After that they were on the road and driving, Dan always flinched whenever they passed a police officer. They landed in a small diner named Big Betty's, the pair had squeezed into a booth. Phil was staring at the menu when Dan nudged him, his eyes trained on the small TV in the corner.
'Body Discovered In Woods' floated across the TV under a lady with straight black hair and dark eyes, not one frizz on her head was out of place.
"A body was discovered in the woods not far from a children's playground just early this morning. The fire of the playground caught attention of a man who lived nearby."
It cut to a man in a fuzzy hat, his salt and pepper shaker hair was sticking out on his forehead like a big gust of wind knocked them out of place. The man explains how he watched the fire lick up the trees, so he ran out with a fire extinguisher and after he put it out, he found the body of Chris Kendall- his identity yet to be known, but the two boys knew.
"Should we go?" Daniel leaned in and whispered, his eyes trained on everyone who was looking at the miniature TV, their faces tinted with worry. Phil had to move the coffee cup when Daniel leaned across the table so the black liquid wouldn't spill.
"The police are pulling an autopsy as we speak, more details are to be released soon," The women said once the camera was cut back to her.
"No, we're okay for now. No one knows it's us." Phil mumbled, waving down their waitress and giving a smile once she approached.
"I'll take another cup of coffee, please." Phil said, rising the small cup slightly.
"On your way." She smiled, throwing a wink at the older boy as she took the cup. Dan fumed in silence.
"I will kiss you in front of her." Dan mumbled.
"If that's all you're going to do I will be surprised and slightly under-amused."
"Want me to kill her?" Dan smiled, wiggling his eyebrows.
"No, too messy here."
"You're no friend." Dan pouted, slacking back against the booth seats.
"You can still kiss me, though." Phil smirked causing Dan to blush and look down at his menu.
