Now showered, I walk downstairs into view and see all my brothers standing around the kitchen island, like a protective forcefield wall, all death glaring my mother. All while Elijah looked to be flipping pancakes. Thank god it was the weekend.
"Easton, are you going to start illegal fighting like Reed?" Mom spat.
"For now just betting on Reed, which gets us more money," Easton glared.
"How on earth does that get more money?" she asked being 'concerned'.
"You wouldn't understand," he rolled his eyes and glanced at me.
Then they all saw me, which made my mother turn around. She was dressed in itty bitty denim shorts that revealed her ass cheeks, a shirt that the v cut looked to have been stretched since the fabric was now sheer, and tall heels.
"Audria! Sweetheart! Where were you all morning?" she motioned me over.
I flinched at the way my name sounded between her overlined lips. I rubbed my clammy hands on my leggings and walked, holding the now empty container which once contained cookies.
"Hey Mom," I eyed Reed pleadingly which he slightly nodded. I was still really embarrassed about what had just happened.
But with puberty stuff we just brush it off. You have no idea how many incidents with Reed I've had to turn a blind eye to with his erections when we are in bed.Gross.
"You were the one to show up at five o'clock in the morning, throwing pebbles and rocks at the windows for us to come let you in." Reed shot at her.
As usual.
At least he didn't seem to be acting differently with me. I had just left him and East to clean up my blood.
I put the empty container of cookies in the bin.
She scoffed, "I just wanted to see my loves," she faced me to tuck my hair behind my ear. I shrivelled away, which she returned with a hurt look.
"I see," she whispered, which I barely just heard. "Do they hurt you?" she gripped my wrist tightly.
"What the -"
"Fuck your -"
"Are you fucking for real! We'd never hurt her you slu - hag." Ryder ended up forming a sentence the quickest.
I was surprised Elijah didn't shoot something back to her. Since he was the one the raise me, she was basically insulting him.
My brothers looked like a pack of angry wolves.
"You didn't care when this happened before? Why the sudden concern?" Reed fumed.
I never liked when they would bring up dad when mom was around. She gets defensive and then blasts her head off.
"We are the ones to hurt her? Pfft your fucked," Easton said furious.
"Easton! I didn't raise you to speak like that!" she secretly fired at Elijah since he raised us.
"Huh? You raised -"
"Not now," Elijah put a hand on Ashton's shoulder while continuing to cook, knowing he was next to retaliate. Easton just gritted his teeth.
