{ A R I A }

It wasn't Adrian.

Ryder.

He was laughing uncontrollably. "Your always so cute when you're mad."

I frowned. "No it's not. My feelings aren't 'cute' they are valid!"

He cupped my shoulder, "Whats wrong?" It was his turn to frown. Finally, taking me seriously.

"Oh, so now you care," I glared at him.

He sighed. "I never didn't -" He let out a bored sigh. "Well?" he inquired.

"I'm being kept in the dark, again," I whisper yelled, stomping my foot. Oh my god. Please tell me he didn't see that. I just acted liked a child. "And then he got pissy at me."

"Who did? For what?"

"Reed. Because he said he didn't want Adrian near me. Then he asked if I trusted him and I was confused of why he asked me such a thing, that he interpreted my hesitation for - well... me not trusting him," I don't let out in one sigh.

"He's just fired up baby. He knows you trust him." He let go of my shoulder, "If he doesn't like this boy, then there was a good reason."

"Yeah, but he won't tell me why. If it's about me, I deserve to know. But no, you all, always, keep me in the dark." I couldn't help it. My eyes threatened to let loose a cannon. A tear. But I dont cry usually because I'm upset. If I cry, it's out of frustration.

His face scrunched up which indicated he was calculating what to say. "They... they just care about you. I know you don't get it. But just... know."

"Yeah, I wonder why I don't get it." I rolled my eyes and walked back to class. Screw the break I wanted.

SIX RIDES

An apple, an orange, a sandwich and pretzels is what I placed in front of me for lunch 1.

"Aria! Are you listening?" Rosalyn snapped in front of my face, "Hellllooo."

"Sorry. Yeah." I lied.

"Then what did I say last -" She huffed.

"You said ..." I thought.

"About the party tonight, right?" Mason nudged.

"Yeah ... obviously i'm going. Logan's throwing it, his my brothers' best friend, they drag me along," I sighed rocking my head side to side.

Mason sitting to my left, protein shake in hand, asks, "You don't want to go to my big bros party?" His tone strained.

"Of course I do." I reassuringly squeeze his knee. His teeth dig into his lip. Why did he do that?

"They just will watch me like a pack of wolves. I know it."

"I wont let anything happen to you." He bumped his shoulder against mine, his face serious. "No making out with other guys." He pointed his hand at me continuously and laughed, mimicking my brothers.

"What? You don't think anyone would kiss me?" I was offended.

I scowled deeper. "I know you will land a kiss." He smirked.
