After defeating Team Rocket, we ran into a samurai dude who wants to fight new trainers from Pallet Town.

"Are you three trainers from Pallet Town?" Samurai dude asked.

"No" Misty replied.

"Yes," Ash replied.

"Yes"

"Okay, I challenge you two." Samurai dude said.

"Okay," Ash said.

"Not interested"

I sat down with Misty because Ash needs to learn more about Pokémon battles.

"Misty I'm going to look for ground-type Pokémon."

"Okay," Misty said.

30 minutes later

I only saw more bug-type, flying-type, and normal-type Pokémon but no ground type.

"Charmander" 'Mama look'

Charmander was pointing at a Ground-type Pokémon.

"Better check the pokedex."

"Sandshrew; Burrows deep underground in arid locations far from water. It only emerges to hunt for food."

"Sandshrew, how did you get here?"

"Sandshrew" 'My group kicked me out'

Sandshrew looked sad for a moment.

"Sandshrew, you can join me with my friends."

"Sandshrew" 'Okay'

I took out a Poké Ball and Sandshrew touched it.

"Okay, now we can go back to the others. Aki don't forget Kaito."

"Charmander" 'Okay'

"Kakuna, Kakuna" 'Aki you don't have to carry me around.'

"Charmander, Char" 'Mama said that I have to keep you safe until you hatch."

We made it back to Misty but Ash was using Metapod to fight against the samurai dude's Metapod.
