Ash & I are heading to Vermilion City to get our third badge but he probably doesn't have a plan.

"What if I use Pidgeotto?" Ash asked.

"No Flying types can't go against Electrical types."

"What about Butterfree?" Ash asked.

"Are you trying to kill Butterfree?"

"What? No!" Ash yelled.

"Your only chance to win against Lt. Surge is to use a Ground Type but you only have two flying types."

"What about Pikachu?" Ash asked.

"It would end in a draw and you won't get your badge."

"Can I use some of your Pokémon?" Ash asked.

"No Way In Hell!"

Pikachu, Misty, Brock & Aki hide behind Ash.

"I can't use Ai or Kaito because they are flying types and could get seriously hurt. I have 3 Pokemon and one is a ground (Eiji), Fire (Aki) & Normal (Sakura)."

"So you have three Pokémon that could fight against electrical types," Ash said.

"Yes, but Eiji is the only one who won't be effective against electrical types while Aki & Sakura can outsmart electrical types before they could get hurt."

After that, we continued walking but we ran into someone and were told about a trainer named A.J.

"Should we go see how good this guy is?" Misty asked.

"He sounds like an egotistical jerk but I want to know how he could win so many Pokémon battles."

We found a gym in the town and there was a sign that said '98 Consecutive Victories'.

"I'm going to guess that A.J. is close by," Brock said.

We found A.J. and he was in the middle of a Pokémon battle.

"Yes, 99 Wins!" A.J. yelled.

"If this guy turns out to be another Gary then I'm punching him in the face."

"Amanda, you really hate Gary that much?" Ash asked.

"Yes, I punched him in the face when we had to get our starter Pokémon."

"What did he do?" Ash asked.

"He said that we were stupid."

A.J. is like Gary but worse because he trains his Pokémon very harshly.

"What the Hell are you doing?!"

I jumped into the pool to get Sandshrew out before he drowns.

"Sandslash" 'Mama are you okay?'

"Eiji? When did you get out of your pokeball?"

"Charmander" 'I took him out to help.'

"Sandslash" 'Grab my hand'

Eiji & Aki helped us out of the pool.

"Aki keep A.J.'s Sandshrew warm and I'll go talk to his trainer," Ash said.

Eiji walked to my bag and took my bat.

"Eiji?"

He walked to A.J. and tried to hit him with my bat.

"Amanda, have you been teaching your Pokémon how to use a bat?" Ash asked.

"No but they saw me use it."

"Someone tell him to stop!" A.J. yelled.

"Eiji stop!"

Eiji kicked A.J. and gave me the bat. After that A.J. told us why he trains his Pokémon like that.

"You are a very stupid boy."

"What?!" A.J. yelled.

"You can't train your Pokémon like that because they can get hurt or end up dead."

"How did you get your Sandshrew to evolve into Sandslash?" A.J. asked.

"Practice battles with my Charmander, he learned a few moves and I had him fight in a gym battle."

"That's stupid, Pokémon need to be tough and you are being soft," A.J. said.

"I'll show you who's being soft!"

"Amanda!" Ash, Brock & Misty shouted
