Your P.O.V.

So far I’ve been doing really well in school. I’ve been actually working really hard to keep my grades up for my Freshman year, being that it is my first year in college. Its fall break and I’ve been planning to go to my favorite band’s concert for months. The only thing is, since I attend UCLA, a college, away from my home state I have to go alone; there’s also the fact that I’m barely getting my ticket the day of the concert, which is always a bad idea.

It’s the night of the concert so I decided to dress in a simple outfit. I have on my Levi skinny jeans with my low top, red converse, mixed matched socks of course, and my black and red stripped crop top that shows a little less the three inches of skin. I grab my black, hanging, over the shoulder bag and place my phone, iPod, perfume, lotion, and whatever else I feel needs to be there, inside my bag. I take a quick look into the mirror and check my appearance once again, as well as taking a mirror selfie to post on Instagram.

I walk out of my dorm room and lock it. Since it was Fall Break most students went back home. There are a few students on campus, including me, that didn’t really get to go back for various reasons. I walk down my dorm steps and head towards the bus stop; sadly I haven’t yet earned enough money to get myself a car.

I take about three buses in order to make it to the venue. By the time I get to the tickets booths there are no lines what so ever. I walk up to the first booth I see with this really nice looking woman in the front window.

“Hi ma’am um I’m here for the Mindless Behavior concert.  What are the tickets that you have available?” I speak politely. “Well, um”, she begins to speak popping her gum; “It looks like we just sold our last ticket.” I drop my jaw as soon as I hear her say that.

First I couldn’t go home to my family for Thanksgiving and now I’ve taken 3 buses and there are no tickets left, it’s ridiculous. I run my fingers through my hair before speaking. “Okay thank you ma’am”, I say trying to keep my composure. I decide to go sit on the steps to call my best friend because I’m completely overwhelmed.

“Yes Chels!  All of this work and I just keep getting blindsided by life, it sucks.” I speak into my phone as I’m sitting on the steps. “It’s okay Y/n; you’ve got something good coming your way. It’s bound to happen after all this bad, right?” She assures me. “Yeah, I guess I say looking down at my watch, noticing that it’s ten minutes until the show starts. “Ugh, ten minutes. I should be in there.” I groan. “It’s okay baby girl you’ll get what you deserve I promise.” Chels assures me again. “Alright.” I say glancing up only to see a tall figure walking my way.

“Hey, Chels? Stay on the phone with me for a little longer. There’s this tall figure walking up to me and I’m kind of scared.” I whisper into the phone. “Okay. Be calm and tell me if you need me to call the police for anything.” She tells me.

As the figure gets closer I notice it’s the boys’ manager, Kenneth Crear. “Chels, you won’t believe who’s walking up to me.” I tell her in a calm tone. “I don’t need to call the popos right?” She asks in her best ghetto accent. “No, no, not at all. It’s actually the boys’ manager Kenneth.” I inform her, with a slight laugh. As soon as I got the words ‘boys’ manager’ out she shrieks into the phone. She’s more excited than me and she isn’t even here.

“Hello, I’m Kenneth Crear”, he says as he holds his right hand out to shake mine. “Chels, I need to put you on hold. He actually came to talk to me.” I say as discretely as possible. “Hi, I’m Y/n Y/ln; it’s nice to meet you. You’re one of the boys’ many managers, right?” I ask as I shake his hand, knowing the question.
