Chapter 6: Date Night

~*Annie POV*~

I wake up and look around to see that I'm the first one awake. That's unusual. I'm usually the last one up. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice something. I notice Katniss and Peeta snuggled up against each other. Awww! They're so cute! 'I shouldn't have to witness this all by myself' I think.

I gently shake Finnick awake. "Ugghhh! What is it? It better be good," he grumbles.

"Look," I say pointing towards Katniss and Peeta.

"Oh, that's why," he says with a smirk on his face.

"Aww! Don't wake them up!" I whine.

Finnick sighs, "Fine."

~*Katniss POV*~

I'm still asleep but I still hear voices.There's one that makes it more distinct: "Aww! Don't wake them up!" Annie. I could tell that it was pretty obvious. I know for a known fact that Finnick wouldn't say that. EVER.

When I wake up, I have faces in front of me. "Ahhhhh!" I say just a bit too loudly. I think that might've woken Peeta up. When he wakes up, he mimicks my expression. "Ahhhhh!" They jump back and start laughing.

"What's so funny?"I say. I really don't know what's going on.

"Did you even see your expressions?" Annie asks. I shake my head in response. "You two mimicked each other! That's so cute!"

"Annie! calm down," I say.

"I'm sorry! You two are adorable!" she squeals. I swear she's a fangirl or something. Next thing I know, she comes up with a ship name for us. Now that would be weird and a bit too excessive.

I grab my phone to see if I have any missed calls or messages. I see that I have 3 missed text messages from Prim.

Where are you?

When are you gonna be back?

KKKKAAAAATTTT!!!

To calm her down I respond by saying that I spent the night at Annie's. I hit 'send' and get an almost immediate repsonse. It says: Okie dokie! Be back soon. Well not right now but you know what I mean.

I text her back saying that I will be back in a few hours.

"So.....," I say dragging out the 'o'. "What should we do in the next few hours?"

"Maybe we can watch a movie?" Annie suggests.

We all agreed that it was a good idea to watch a movie. The problem is that everyone wants to watch a different movie. Finnick wants to watch Frozen (weird right?). The rest of us wants to watch The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (no coincidence there). We did a group vote and decided that we were going to watch Mockingjay Part 1.

We put the movie in and settle on the couch. It's Finnick and Annie and then Peeta and me. Sometime during the movie, I snuggle into Peeta. He then puts his arm around me.

Couple of hours later, the movie ends. It left us in shock.

"Well....that was a surprising ending," Finnick said. Let's just say we did not see that coming. We've all read books so it all makes sense.

"It had me in tears," I said. Annie nodded her head furiously because she was still crying.

I checked my phone. 3:34. I should probably head home.

"I hate to break up the fun, but I gotta head home," I said.

"I'll walk you home," Peeta said.

It's not that long of a walk. It only takes about 10 minutes.
