Burst of Color (Ozpin x Reader)(Soulmate AU)

You sigh and walk beside Ironwood and Winter. You were visiting Beacon with them. You were on edge cause you haven't found your soulmate yet. Yet everyone else has. This made you upset. You always think to yourself that no one will ever be your soulmate.

You know you shouldn't be worried about it but you are. You always have been. You sit in the ship and look out the window. You zone out for awhile until Winter taps your shoulder. "(Y/n) when we get to beacon you can take a walk anywhere you'd like to get a good feeling about the place. But if me or James call you on scroll make sure you answer."

You nod and look back out the window. You hear Winter sigh and sit beside you. She knew of your soulmate problem. "Looks (y/n) don't think about it much you'll know when you find them. You still see black and white right?" She questions you nod and look at her.

"Then you'll definitely know because a burst of color will explode in front of your eyes alright. And you never know you may meet them at Beacon." She says and gives you a supportive smile. You smile back a bit feeling some hope come back. "Thanks Winter." She nods in reply and gets up walking to Ironwood.

-at beacon academy-

You walk around and look at the various buildings. You walk into this cafe and buy some coffee and leave. You sip on your coffee when you soon get a call on your scroll. You answer hearing James. "Hey (y/n) come to Beacon Academy. Professor Ozpin would like to meet you. I'll have Glynda wait outside to help you find your way." He says.

"Alright." You reply and hang up. You make your way to Beacon Academy. Yes this is your first time visiting. You see a woman with blond hair and a wand. "I'm Glynda are you (y/n)?" She asks. "Yes." You reply and she motions for you to follow.

You two make your way to the office of the Headmaster of Beacon. You walk in watching your feet as they carry you into the large gear filled office. "(Y/n) this is professor Ozpin. Ozpin this is (y/n) the lady I told you about." James says. You look up at the man named Ozpin and smile politely.

You go to shake hands when suddenly a burst of different colors explodes. You widen your eyes having been taken aback and overwhelmed by this sudden burst. You look at the man who you now see has silver hair and see the same expression as you.

James Winter Glynda and the man with a scruffy face and a red cape all look at you two with confused expressions. You start to shuffle on your feet. "I-I need t-to g-go to t-the bathroom." You stutter. "W-winter s-show me the way p-please."

Winter nods and leads you to the bathroom. You pull her into the bathroom with you and hold her shoulders. "It happened." You say. "What happened (y/n) what's wrong?" She asks. "That burst of color. I-it happened when i-i looked at Ozpin." You say blushing. "Hey I know it's overwhelming but it's great you finally met your soulmate." She says smiling. "B-but how do i-i act?" You say. "Lie yourself now come on." She say

She leads you back to Ozpin's office and you walk to him slowly. You see Winter whisper something to James the scruffy dude and Glynda then see them leave. You look up at the man in front of you. He smiles at you and you smile back. "You got the burst of color r-right?" You ask.

He nods and you smile feelings relieved that it's not a one way thing. He places his cup down on the desk. "We can't just out right kiss right now. We should get to know each other first. How about we go to the cafe later how does that sound?" He asks. "Sounds perfect to me." You say.

-during the Fall of Beacon-

You rush to find Ozpin. It is pure chaos. Insanity. But you need to find Ozpin so you could make sure he's alive. You end up finding him in the basement of the school with a girl. He was about to get hurt but you use your shield semblance to save him. The two turn to you and you keep your shield up. "(y/n) go-" he goes to yell but stops as his eyes widen. The girl had shot you in the stomach with one of her arrows.

"NO!" You hear Ozpin yell before falling. Your vision gets blurry with tears of pain as it consumes you. You want to get up to help Ozpin but you can't. The pain is too unbearable. You feel darkness consume you as you lose more blood.

(SIKE YOU LIVE BOI) -after the fall of beacon-

You wake up in a bed. Your bandaged up where you had been shot. You see Ozpin and sit up. He looks up as he hears the bed creak. "I thought I lost you forever (y/n) please don't do that again." He says and hugs you but gently as too not her you. "I'm sorry Ozpin I just wanted you to live." You say hugging back. You feel him kiss your cheek a bunch of times and turn your head to kiss him on the lips.

He seems taken aback for a sec but soon kisses you with much passion and love. You kiss back with just as much and hug him. "I love you Oz." You say. "I love you too (y/n)." He says back hugging back.
