Chapter 9

The next day I woke up early before anyone wakes up and make breakfast. After making breakfast I set the table for the three of us.

I heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen I smile as a granny approach.

"Good morning grandma breakfast is ready I will go get Ally," I said.

Granny smiles "Aww breakfast smells delicious," Granny said taking a seat around the table.

I smile "Thanks to you who thought me how to cook".

I went upstairs to my baby's room "Ally baby are you awake" I asked as I open the door.

Alicia was brushing her hair at the mirror "Good morning mommy come brush my hair and sing me a song" she said smiling.

This is a thing I use to do every night before she goes to sleep I use to sit her at the mirror and sing her a song while brushing her hair and other time I would tell her a story my mother use to tell me before she passes away.

"Come eat your breakfast first before it gets cold and after breakfast I will brush your hair and tell you a story," I said.

She hops off the chair and smiles "Let's go eat breakfast".

We sat at the table grandma said a prayer after that we dig down in our meal eating as a family a thing I haven't done in a long while.

I miss my family so much

After breakfast grandma went to take care of her garden. Alicia and I went back to her room where I began to brush her hair.

"What do you want first a song or a story?" I asked.

Ally smiles "Sing me a song please" she begged.

I smiled "Okay".

I didn't realize that tears were rolling out of my eyes until Ally turn around and wipe them away with her tiny hands.

"Mommy why are you crying?" she asked worriedly.

I smile "I love you, baby, okay never forget that mommy loves you," I said then hug her tight.

I wish that my life was normal

"I love you too mommy now stop crying I feel sad when you cry" she whispered.

I pull away and kiss her forehead "Don't be sad sweety am crying because am happy to be here with you" I said.

She smiles "Am happy your here too mommy but I will be happier if you stay here forever" she pout.

I smile sadly "I wish I could stay but I have to work to take care of you and buy you cute clothes and toys" I softly said.
